Default was this a missed bet on the river?

5-10 live.

I raise in cutoff with QJs. Go to flop 5 handed.

Flop is KJ9 rainbow (no heart). Checked to me , I bet out, 2 callers.

Turn is J ( 2 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]'s now). Checked to me, bet, one caller.

River is the A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] I get check-raised. I hesitate a second, and call. ( Guy is a decent player, been at 10-20 table with him couple of times.)

Anyway, I was at the 14 hr.mark and didn't think quickly. Obvious straght potential, but needs QT and he would've had to have had it already. I was mad at myself for letting fatigue get the best of me. However, guy next to me who I feel is a better player than myself said he would not have reraised in that situation.

I still thought I should have. Any comments? ( besides not playing for 14 hrs. I mean)

You have an ok kicker to the third highest card (second highest on the flop)on a very coordinated board 4 of the six cards are in the playzone and five players saw the flop.
Someone needs to explain to me why a bet was missed on the river. I get draw out like this all the time online.

My bad. When I first read this I thought the river was bet, and then Hero called. I think this is fine.

I am not sure I am understanding this. You get check-raised on the river by a decent player when an A hits. Why didnt you check behind on the river here for free showdown?

This really looks like he either has an A or is on a bluff. Depending on your read of the guy decide accordingly. Since you say he is decent I fold and save the bet.

River - Bet/Call. I'm considering reraising but since the pot is also so huge I don't want to fold or get 3bet. There are several draws that beats you which when that A came so I don't want to get too frisky with just trips.

You really need to explain the hand better. i.e-you raise in the CO preflop and then 5 to the flop. Where are the other 4 players positioned? Any reads on any of them? And on the flop, where are the 2 callers? Is the button one of them?

Does the river c/r like to slowplay? You're only losing to some oddly played hands. Anything that beat you on the river should have given you more action on the turn.

i'm pretty sure you are good here, but you won't get paid off by a worse hand often enough. you played it fine...unless you can fold to a cap.
