Default Check HU royal draw on HHJ table every time, right?

KTs on high hand jackpot table, Party 2/4, limped UTG, everyone folds to BB who calls. Flop comes AJX of my suit, giving me a royal draw. BB checks.

No question I check, right? The +EV of the semibluff is worth far, far less than the HHJ, right? (I assume the $3k is all mine if I hit it.)

Just making sure I check/call that all the way to the river (and only show aggression on the river if I don't hit my royal but do hit something else).

If you hit your royal, you get $3k?
Your question is impossible to answer unless we know what limit you're playing.

(btw, what's the minimum hand for a high hand jp?)

Sorry, 2/4 (just edited to avoid confusion). Yes, I believe it is a royal only (although the links to the jackpot summaries are broken, typical party). I'm obviously playing it not for the jackpot but for the soft table.

Considering my EV of semibluffing is at most a few dollars, and losing on the 1 in 20 (1 out twice) shot of $3k if it works, I guess it's no contest.

He is playing 2/4... the value in hitting that jackpot outweighs the value of winning the hand without a showdown. You are in good shape if you hit a flush (not straight flush) anwyways. Its not the standard way to play the hand but the jackpot makes things different.

Dont play HHJ tables and you avoid this along with the extra BAGillion you would pay in rake.

You're not going to be very happy when your royal hits and noone bets and you show down your hand. The pot needs to be RAKED to win. Showing down a royal and making only the value of the blinds while not getting the JP either doesnt sound like all that much fun to me.

good point. What's the best way to handle it? Bet on the end when he's more likely to call thinking it's a bluff and give him more chance to hit a mediocre hand? Or bet the turn when he may still have (what he thinks are) outs?

Or yell in the chat screen CALL THIS I HIT THE JACKPOT, I'LL PAY YOU BACK? hah...
