Re: 100NL - In which I 3bet preflop and CRAI
He's got to fold two times out of three in this situation for this to be +EV, I don't think that's gonna happen with the range you've put him on. It's a v drawish flop so he prob thinks your just...

Re: JJ - Overpair played for stacks...
This is why I don't reraise a substantial initial raise with a pair less than K K. Ideally you'd want to reraise him on this flop to see if he's c-betting but the pot's already so big that's...

Re: I want to bluff, but don\'t think he\'ll fold
Of course you shouldn't bluff this. You're saying you don't think the guys particularly aggro and he's shown strength the whole way through and you still want to bluff it? You're going to have to put...

What if he bets $30+, you're still calling on that board? I'm not getting at you or anything I'm just curious.

Re: NL 1010 River set
I think you've got to check here, and be ready to throw it away to a bet of more than $20 or so. The river hasn't really made much difference, you're still behind to a straight and you're still ahead...

Re: NL100 AK in 4-way pot
Yeah, this is a nasty one, I'd be thinking K 8 straight away. I'd prob call and reevaluate the turn but then again we're folding to any decent turn bet unless an A comes by any miracle.
As a side,...

Re: 100NL- Standard KK fold?
I'm definitely 3-betting this flop. Problem there is that any decent raise is pretty much committing your entire stack but I think I'd be ok with that. He's called your pf raise so we're assuming two...

Re: aa hmmm?
Definitely 3-bet and call a shove when your against someone this loose. The flops so low that he may well think you're c-betting on the flop, and your flat calling his raise then checking the turn...

Re: Tough spot in 3bet pot
Def call, nothing he's done has shown major strength. No need to 3-bet pf though, if he's that loose he's probably not folding anything and A J isn't exactly a powerhouse hand. He's already made the...

Re: NL100 Big bluff turning into semibluff
I don't like this at all. Regardless of whether the guy has been bluffing you before, your turn bet is just a complete crap shoot. You don't know either way if he has a hand or not, and you're...

Fair enough. It's not a play I would have made but seeing how it paid off that may be an error on my part.

Re: Lil Overbet nl100
Well can I ask what the villain was actually holding. I'm assuming you were beat and that's why you're posting here, although tell me if I'm wrong.

Re: $0.50/$1.00, does he have it?
[ QUOTE ]
What you fail to understand is that if villain doesn't have the Q he should be very afraid of Hero having it after the second raise.
[/ QUOTE ]
But much less so after the third Q...

Re: $0.50/$1.00, does he have it?
Well, I'm saying call. I agree that just calling the raise would have avoided this situation, and that certainly would have been the safer play, but as played I'd call. It's just as likely he's got...

Re: Lil Overbet nl100
He's not going to reraise a $55 bet with A K, not a hope. That means you're only hope is against a smaller pair, and I don't think he's going to shove with J J or T T.
I'd be very sure I was beat...

Re: Lil Overbet nl100
Call me crazy but i'd have folded the reraise, and I wouldn't have overbet the flop. A bet of around $35 would have done the trick, and when the other guy shoved I'd be expecting to see KK or AA a...

Re: $0.50/$1.00, does he have it?
You have to call in this situation. If there's 3 of a kind on the board I will never assume the other player has the 4th, it's much more likely he's holding a K, maybe even slow playing aces in this...

Re: QQ against maniac
Have to bet the flop, you're just asking for a maniac to fire at you on the turn if you don't. Definitely call river as played. If you really think he has the A then you shouldn't have called the...

Re: K9 Turned straight
I think I'd have to call. Hand's we're worried about are TT,JJ,QQ,AK, certainly the top two you would have expected a reraise preflop. You were on the button and it had been folded round so your bet...

Re: 100nl: correct push?
I think this one's down to user discretion, seeing as you've only got $4 in the pot there's no question of being committed, so it would be perfectly reasonable to fold it. I wouldn't be too worried...

Re: I folded JJ preflop vs a shorty
I call the pf bet, don't like reraising with JJ. Then if it's heads up, I fold to any action on the flop if it's got more than 1 overcard, otherwise I'm prob putting him all in.
