Re: Poker Question

Just play as long as you have an edge. Stop play when more important things come up. Yes there are things more important than poker...

Stop when you are playing bad or when you have played long...

Re: no-all-in tables: what does that mean?

Re: Does anyone else feel like this?

There is a big difference in reading books and articles and really studying them. I think most people don't apply what they learn. Most of us just read and think: hey, that's cool! And then we play...

Re: Which site/level has the least shortstacks, or deep buyin tables?

There are shortstackers at all levels at all sites. You just have to learn how to play effectively against them...

I haven't noticed any fewer shortstacks at different sites. They are all over the...

Re: C-Betting?

I c-bet here most of the time and it is profitable.

I have another question about this:

I find AK harder to play in situations when the villains doesn't check but instead almost always donkbet...

Re: Poker Terminology

TAG - Tight agressive player.
LAG - Loose agressive player.

Yes. The player wants to know if he thinks right when playing a hand both preflop and postflop. Right in this case is if he plays it...

Re: any difference in play between 6 handed and 9 handed tables?

Yes, of course playing more hands just to play more hands is not exactly what I meant. What I really meant is that the early positions are gone, and the tight play that comes with the worse position...

Re: Small Pocket Pairs?

I almost always raise with PP in any position in 6-max game. I also call a decent raise if the stacks are deep.

Raising gives me control. If I miss the flop I c-bet. If I get called or raised I...

Re: any difference in play between 6 handed and 9 handed tables?

You can play as the three first players after the blinds have folded. That means that there is no early position, and you have to adjust accordingly. Starting hands that you normally don't play UTG...

Re: good pokertracker stats

I don't have something valuable to add here, but I just wanted to make a correction to Cabe's reply. Max buyin on NL25 is 25$, and 20 buyins are 500$, not 400$...

Re: Call or Fold?

J4 is evil. No doubt about it.

I say as the others: Fold preflop! If you folded this preflop you didn't have to ask this question. Limping in with hands like these makes it difficult for you to...

Re: Thought process during a hand (basic flowchart):

This is actually very good. This is the kind of things you should consider when playing a hand.

Re: Pokerstars - FL Holdem (6-max 12-players)

Yes, it is fixed limit holdem. The fixed amount for betting is one small bet preflop and on the flop, and one big bet on the turn and river.

On a 1$/2$ limit table, it means 1$ bets on the first...

Re: Is the hit and run strategy considered bad etiquette?

I don't understand why some of you have a problem with dealing with hit and runners. People changes tables all the time. Why stay at a table just for the etiquette? "Well, I got lucky on the river...

Re: NL10 KK hand...did i miss a vbet here?

Most players at this level would bet a flush, since they know they will get called by a decent hand. He might have tried to checkraise you on the turn, but when you checked behind, he would have bet...

Re: AK - TPTK on heavy board, value on the river?

He raised preflop and called a reraise. Depending on the villain, this doesn't really tell us much.

The flop call doesn't give away his hand either. Is he slowplaying something like KJ or a set,...

Re: Taking down the pot early

Say you raise preflop with AK. You get one or two callers and the flop comes K74 rainbow. You bet say a 2/3 to a full pot. Both calls.

Why did the villains called the preflop raise in the first...
