Hotwire.com is the best way to get a car in my opinion, I just looked it up for you on there and its 14.95. It's much cheaper than going through the company site. I've done this a lot

It's 1100 (including utilities!) and a 1br in the east village. No roomates. I got a great deal and just got really lucky. Hmmm in terms of size I would say it's about the size of the average studio...
