Organ
It could very well be an organ (maybe lungs and or a heart since have a really short preservation time and are usually flown) They keep organs in the cockpit when they fly them on commerical airlines. It would be a major mistake to have left it obviously, and possibly ruin the viability of the organ.

Re: Sketchy Plane Situation, any idea WTF Happened? (long)
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] So far I have gotten the following out of this thread. 3 most likely scenarios... 1) A kidney on the wrong flight.no. 2) A mechanical problem that didn't threaten the plane, but that they didn't want to (or couldn't) deal with in Portland, and wanted to deal with it from their main hub in Seattle (this was an Alaska flight).no, almost all airlines are honest about stuff like that 3) They realised there was a piece of luggage or something on board that didn't threaten the plane, but put it out of FAA regulations. Such as "a battery" like the stewardess said. They had to follow some dumb FAA rule and return to the point of origion, instead of landing in portland.almost definitely no, the faa wouldnt care where they landed to offload it [/ QUOTE ] im thinking it has to be something sensitive to the area. so while i doubt it was an organ, something like that seems plausible. rj if i knew the flight numbers and stuff i would make a request. but here is your link for making one. [/ QUOTE ] You said No, about the kidney... but then said it was something like an oregon? What do you mean "Sensitive to the area."? Thanks for the FOIA link. I will be calling Alaska and filing a complaint, and if that fails filing an FOIA request. Like I said, this is mostly out of curiousity. Heres the flight info BTW: January 06 2007 Alaska Airlines 480 Depart: Seattle, WA at 10:40 AM Arrive: Los Angeles, CA at 1:20 PM Seats: 17A, T Class |

Re: Sketchy Plane Situation, any idea WTF Happened? (long)
I would of noticed seinfeld, I am a big fan.
Thinking back about the fact that I saw none of the overhead bins having luggage removed, it makes since that perhaps it was an organ in the cockpit. |

it was something like an oregon? What do you mean "Sensitive to the area."? [/ QUOTE ] I think there could be increased seismic activity in the area without an oregon: |

Re: Sketchy Plane Situation, any idea WTF Happened? (long)
There was a liver on the plane and they were taking it to LA to give some guy a transplant. Some rich guy in Seattle urgently needed a liver transplant and bribed the hell out of everyone as no other livers were around.
