weird sleep problem
This may be a weird problem...
When I am hanging out with people, keeping busy prior to bed, and/or spending the night with girlfriend, I am a pretty healthy sleeper. I may not go to bed early, but once I do get in bed I'm tired and i fall asleep. On the other hand, when I am bored and alone at night, I am an uunhealthy sleeper. I never can find the willpower to go to bed, and once I do finally get in bed I usually can't sleep. I always end up on my computer or reading till late. I feel restless and bored, even though i might be sleepy. Take tonight, for instance. Why am i posting on OOT at 1:30AM. Do other people have this problem? How can I discipline myself to go to sleep when i'm by myself? |

I think everybody on OOT has this problem, only a lot worse than yours.

Re: weird sleep problem
My sleep schedule keeps getting later and later. I currently go to bed at 9am and wake up at 4pm. Today I am trying to correct it by going to bed tommorow at 8-9 pm.

Oh I am as [censored] up as can be in this area. Believe me when I say it can get ugly and that 01.30 Friday night is nothing at all.

Re: weird sleep problem
more interesting is OPs point about how he is always reading the internet rather than actually willing himself to go to sleep. I do this too... I have no idea why but i call it 'zombiing on', you're seriously just braindead clicking on random links and [censored] with no real engagement in the task. I think it actually takes less effort to do this than sleep and we have become so apathetic that this is the result.

Re: weird sleep problem
Do you exercise regularly? This can really affect how you sleep. IE: if you miss a day etc

When there are others around i don't have this problem. |
