Architect/Builder/Business Owner (gas stations in the DC area)

He's almost 63 and as he gets older I too worry about how I'll deal with his death.

My Dad is 70 and retired. He used to a big wig in Advertising. He now swims two miles every day, plays in a basketball league, and does mini-iron mans. Basically, he can still kick my ass.

Bit of a hijack, but didn't see the necessity of starting a new post.

For those of you whose dad's have passed away, how did you deal with it? I see my dad getting older and I can't imagine how I will be able to deal with his death.

My dad is 65ish, I have every reason to believe he will outlive me just to spite me.

My dad just turned 70. He retired like 12 years ago on an early retirement from the Post Office (was a technical instructor). I went skiing with him this year. My dad is in unbelievable shape. We did a few black runs together and the old man's still got it. Also, two years ago I got him on a half pipe. I have a pic of him catching air.

I hope I'm in that good of shape at 70. Also, his Dad lived well into his 90s, so hopefully he has good longevity genes and I got 'em too.
