Default Wisdom teeth extraction- advice needed

Any advice? Bf is getting them out tues. Just figured there might be 2 plus 2ers who have had them out and can give tips/advice. I know its not a major surgery but it still sucks a bit. He's getting all 4 out. Thanks.

Tell him that if given the choice between the gas (awake but out of it) or getting the IV that puts you under (sleeping), get the IV. I did it and it felt like I blinked and was done. They took out all 4 teeth and I bled pretty good, but it felt like it took 1 second. Also, you feel groovy when you wake up

Also, get Perks.

I was going to say the opposite, I didnt get the IV, just the gas, I had some great Super mario bros hallucinations, and really didnt feel much. I think for some reason it helped in my recovery becuase I got them pulled on a friday at 3pm, and was lifting tons of christmas trees by sunday at 4pm, with no swelling etc. Also, have lots of shakes, malts, bj's, and pudding on hand to ease his recovery.

btw mine were impacted I think only 3 though?

Consult with an oral and maxillofacial surgeon.

The pain/problems highly depend on whether or not your BF has impacted wisdom teeth. If they are impacted, they will need to break them with a hammer resulting in more pain and swelling in general. If they are not impacted, your BF may not have much swelling or pain.

I got mine out on Dec 22 several years back. But on Christmas eve I woke up with a mouth full of coagulated blood. Apparently my stitches broke open prematurely. The bleeding didn't stop and eventually my parents took me to an emergency dental clinic across town to get them re-stitched. Not the most fun Christmas I ever had.

Edit: As for advice... I was told not to eat chips, candy or pizza for a month while my socket's were healing.

Give him lots of sex afterwards. He deserves it.

I had the IV and I felt like trash when I woke up. I've never been more desperate for a drink of water in my life but nobody would give me any.

After the IV wore off I felt amazing, albeit a little emotional (went from laughing hysterically to crying, to laughing, etc.) All 4 of mine were impacted, and the Dr. commented on how tough they were to get out, yet I barely needed any pain meds (took them anyway though ) and I was back to full form 2 days later. I even played a baseball game the next day.
