What state are you in? Some states have deregulated the retail side of the electric market, but transmission and distribution remain regulated.

Getting a new sound system (while a great idea as it would likely increase your enjoyment of TV and DVDs) likely won't solve your TiVo audio issue. I think roy_miami is right - your cablebox can't...

It's not clear to me if you are going:

TiVo -> Plasma +
Cable -> Plasma

-or-

Cable -> TiVo -> Plasma

I'd guess the latter, but you never know. *If* so, check the settings on your cable...

The past two weekends, I've been at my local Toys R Us and they've had multiple units sitting on the shelves. No PS3s, though. Sucks for me as I already have the former but not the latter.

Just thought I'd respond to my own post to say that the Wii does output a widescreen picture to a 16:9 tv over composite cables.

Can't wait for the component cables, though...

Assuming I can't get component cables at launch, can I still run my games in widescreen mode (to a 16:9 tv) with the composite cables?

Wattage is a tricky issue - some manufacturers overstate and others are more conservative. Also, don't confuse TOTAL wattage with wattage per channel. 7 Channels x 100 watts/channel should be more...

I'm assuming you're looking for a 5.1 setup - a receiver and 6 speakers (including a subwoofer).

As far as the speakers/subwoofer are concerned, there are a number of internet direct companies...

If he's raising 2% of his pre-flop hands, I don't know how you can rule out QQ pre-flop. The .7 agg factor and the flop raise suggests you're behind on the flop, but there's still a decent...
