Re: ugly situation :/
The only fold I could find is if you're raised on the river after a 3rd club of spade hits the board. But it seems unlikely villain's has 2 suited cards. He may have the other A, in which case...

Yeah, I agree. I completely wussed out. I think it's a clear betting situation.

check or bet this river
Villain is loose passive. Comments on all streets welcome, but I'm mostly concerned about the river. I've been getting raised a lot on the river so I've been reverting to checking lots of these -...

Re: Standard wait to turn c/r?
I've taken to folding it because I get the feeling that it's a marginal winner. This is just a feeling though - no hard data. It's great if it's folded around to the blinds but I've often found...

Re: Standard wait to turn c/r?
I admittedly play SH too tight, but I'm usually folding ATo from EP. Would we usually raise KTo from UTG+1 or is this entirely read-dependent?

Re: ATo in SB UI vs unknown.
I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one who thinks a fold pf is not bad. We're OOP and we have no reads on villain. We're potentially dominated all sorts of ways. I'd like playing ATo on the button...

Re: set of 9\'s \'\'extremely strong becomes terrifying vulnerable\'\'
I have a pf question. Is the limp re-raise a horrible play here? I think we're ahead of a lot of his hands here. Do we have any interest in making the other limpers call 2 cold and possibly...

Re: JJ from early position 1 OC on flop
It's the gray area weak Q from SB that worries me. I can easily see SB betting the flop, just calling our raise, C/C the turn and then hitting the free showdown at the river. But I suppose we need...

Re: JJ from early position 1 OC on flop
I agree with the raise on the flop and folding the turn UI, but what if it's checked through on the turn and a blank comes on the river. Do we call a river bet from SB? 5.5BB in the pot at that...

Re: 44 Set on Monotone Flop
I think hero is good here. I say villain has ATs. If he had QT he'd have raised our turn bet. Or he has the nut or 2nd nut flush.

Re: .50/1 KK hand weird turn
Pre-flop action does not look like a set. AA is looking likely, but it's not unheard of to see villain turn over QQ or JJ here. Given how much villain likes his hand I'd just call down at this...

Re: Top pair, check-raised on turn
With 2 limpers to me I'd limp in if I think the blinds won't raise it up. Is that bad?

Re: 2/4: QJo
Is checking the turn and check/folding the river UI too weak? Our hand is behind any A, K or pp. I don't think we want to push this hand too far.

Re: River play?
I'll join the chorus 3 betting the turn. If it's capped here then I'm worried, but I think you'll see villains with AT here a lot.

My bad on the set/trips.
Yeah, I see what you mean re. letting the flush draw come along for free by not betting the flop, but I'm not sure leading out against 5 villains on that board is a real...

Villian is sligtly loose. Not bad post-flop.
I checked the flop because I do have TP but I wasn't convinced I was way ahead vs. 5 players and I wanted to see the turn cheaply.
The turn is...

Against an unknown I'll choose option 2. Your average player is pushing only AA and KK this hard.

Re: AQo vs AggroBully on my R
Sgt. Shaftoe,
I fold pre-flop, especially with UTG already in the hand. I understand the desire to do battle with UTG+2, but I want to avoid just this situation. I'd rather bust out this play...

When that 4 card straight hits the board on the river I'm checking making a crying call. If it's checked through and we win that's OK. What hand is villain calling with that we beat? And he's not...

River play - my set vs. 3 villains & flush on board
Villains are all slightly loose and passive in the few orbits I've seen. Comments on all streets welcome, but my real question is the river. No one raised my turn bet when the flush hit. Do we...
