Default Fold this crap or just good play??

Villian = 49/2.86/1.10 - 35 hands

Party Poker 1/2 Hold'em (7 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is BB with K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
2 folds, MP2 calls, CO calls, 1 fold, SB completes, Hero checks.

Flop: (4 SB) A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (4 players)
SB checks, Hero checks, MP2 checks, CO bets, SB folds, Hero raises, MP2 folds, CO calls.

Turn: (4 BB) 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets, CO calls.

River: (6 BB) 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets, CO raises, Hero folds.

Final Pot: 9 BB

Ok I check to take a look what happens. CO bets and SB folds so I'm thinking CO can have anything, bluff, flushdraw, straightdraw, Ace etc.

Comment pls

What value is there in betting the river then?

When that 4 card straight hits the board on the river I'm checking making a crying call. If it's checked through and we win that's OK. What hand is villain calling with that we beat? And he's not laying down a weak A...

I fold this on the flop.

Middle pair without an overcard kicker. Your outs to the eight are good, but you only have two clean outs for the king. (Ks puts three spades on board.) So four clean outs and a 5sb pot. About half what you need to chase a 4-outer...so why raise?

The turn puts a third straight card on a board that is now two tone. Check, and fold if CO bets.

Agreed,

Other than the river bet though, i think the hand played fine.
