Re: 200NL - Is this time for a delayed 2nd barrel here?

if you are second barelling, then bet flop and turn. or bet turn and river. bet flop, check turn, bet river is the worst 2 barrel option imho.

Re: 50NL - AK vs. weird villain line

i would also include a str8 draw (QJ, 67) and even aces up (A8, A7, AT,A5) in his range. some donks play big hands like this. what else do you guys think, are we ahead his range for a call here?!

villain is 42/0/3.6 (40 hands) apparently donkish by looking at his stats. What would you put him on with his weird min bet call, min bet call, bet big line?? please comment on my play on the other...

Re: NL 25 - Combo draw in unraised pot.

even your combo draw seems to have 15 outs (9hearts+3 deuces+3 sixes) against two pair or a set, you are not a favorite!! using charts and/or Rule of Four can be misleading. According to charts 15...

Re: 50NL - overpair in a reraised pot

if we raise this flop and villain flat calls, what's our plan on the turn, river? do we put any more money to this pot?

50NL - overpair in a reraised pot

I want to start a discussion on playing medium pocket pairs (like 88-JJ) in a re-raised pot when you play for set value and flop comes all undercards. When villain re-raises my medium pocket pair...

Re: nut straight with several allins

omg. this is the first discussion i've seen about folding nuts, never ever fold when you have the nuts/when you are the favorite to win the hand.

AK - early stage

FTP $20, 45SnG early stages, still 1st level of blinds, i still have the initial 1500. no reads on the opponents whatsoever.
If I call SB's pot sized bet I'm pretty much committed. So are we willing...

Re: What do you do with small pocket pairs?

i don't have any full ring experience but in their books both phil gordon and doyle brunson advice to fold those small pocket pairs in early position.

Re: Help! 3bet preflop and now lost on the flop

when you 3-bet try a pot sized bet, i don't know if pokerstars has the pot button.

Re: What do you do with small pocket pairs?

assuming you play 6 max: I raise any pocket pair any position if I'm first in. I tend to raise 1 limper from the CO/BTN, call 2 or more limpers. most of the time call on the SB, check BB.

Re: OESD in 3bet pot

fold preflop: suited connector in a rr pot is no good.
flop: you don't have enough folding equity to push an oesd. I'd only push a combo draw here (gutshot+FD), or nut flush draw (if no ace on...

Re: 50NL - Value bet river?

i would take the cheap showdown, he will call your raise only with Ah or Kh, as you know where all the other broadway hearts are at. you beat 9h only, and i don't think he will call your raise with...

Re: NL25: AA in position against a push on the flop

on this board sets would check/raise here or smallish bet/raise (not necessarily AI). this bet-pot/raise AI line is weird and doesn't smell like a set. I need vpip/pfr to weigh in two pair...

Re: do i really have odds to call a psb with 9 outs?

on the flop the odds you make your hand by the river are about 2to1.
The odds you make your hand on the next street is 4to1.

Re: Marginal Overpair in 3-way rr pot.

bet the flop please. you cant let the other two opponents pair their A,K,Q on the later streets. if they have T, they'll let you know.
turn: you under-represented your hand on the flop, and now SB...
