Marginal Overpair in 3-way rr pot.
Full Tilt Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.10/$0.25 Blinds - 5 Players - (LegoPoker Hand History Converter)
SB: $75.85 Hero (BB): $26.10 UTG: $54.20 CO: $22.00 BTN: $6.50 Preflop: Hero is dealt J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (5 Players) UTG calls $0.25, 2 folds, SB raises to $1.35, Hero raises to $5.00, UTG calls $4.75, SB calls $3.65 Flop: ($15) 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 Players) SB checks, Hero checks, UTG checks Turn: ($15) 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 Players) SB bets $6.00 Ok, I've been at the table for about 15 minutes, and my image is definitely horrible. Very LAGgy pf, which is due to a combination of having tight players to my left and actually having a run of good hands. My attempt to steal at this table is 67.3%. Villain's bet sizing could easily be for bluff induction. What is my plan for this hand? Do I fold or call here? If I call, what do I do on a blank river? What about a Q,K,or A river? I'm pretty sure raising the turn here is spew with my image and both villain's hand ranges. SB is TAGgish, and MP is UTG is tight/passive pre and postflop. |

I dont know why your not betting the flop here, the check looks very strange are you expecting someone else to bet so you can fold? I like betting here

I'd probably bet/fold flop.
As played call the turn bet. |

Re: Marginal Overpair in 3-way rr pot.
bet the flop please. you cant let the other two opponents pair their A,K,Q on the later streets. if they have T, they'll let you know.
turn: you under-represented your hand on the flop, and now SB thinks his small-medium pocket pair might be good, or he might be taking a shot at the pot with air. you have to call, hell you might even raise... |

Re: Marginal Overpair in 3-way rr pot.
K; The question's pretty much answered; Thanks.
So, I bet $8 on the flop. UTG folds and SB calls. There is $31 in the pot w/ $11.10 behind. (Approx 3-1). Can I ever give up here? If I'm up against a range of {TT+(19),AT(2-3ish)} (I narrowed down villain's AT combos because I don't think he'll call pf w/ them too often.), I'm pretty much crushed. Text results appended to pokerstove.txt 28,821,630 games 11.594 secs 2,485,909 games/sec Board: 2c Ts Th 2h Dead: equity win tie pots won pots tied Hand 0: 10.219% 03.77% 06.45% 1087732 1857650.50 { JJ } Hand 1: 89.781% 83.34% 06.45% 24019742 1857677.50 { JJ+, TcTd, AcTc, AdTc, AhTc } Is this analysis on the right track. Do I give up if I'm called. Is it even close? |
