If you want Nexgens, Target has an unbelieveable deal on them right now -- 6 cents each! 300 with a case for $19.99.
They're the Las Vegas mold.

Re: What do you do when the chip lead leaves?

[ QUOTE ]

As for blinding off versus removing, I think blinding off gives a large and unfair advantage to the players at the table with the absent stack. It's basically like you are dividing the...

Re: What do you do when the chip lead leaves?

I agree -- I was one of the big stacks at the time. When thinking out loud, the host said that since I was next to him and was a big stack, that I would end up with all his chips. I didn't understand...

What do you do when the chip lead leaves?

I was at a game Sunday. We started with 15 and we were down to 6. One guy was the dominant chip lead, got a phone call from a family member and announced he had to leave and wasn't coming back.

Re: must show cards before seeing turn & river when opp. is all in?

[ QUOTE ]
In a tournament it's usually a rule (you were wrong in this case). In a cash game your line is usually fine. It comes down to house rules.

On another note, if you want to run it twice...

Re: guts analysis

I think you're losing sight of the true purpose of guts -- there's not much of a strategy, just drink and try to win a huge pot! /images/graemlins/smile.gif

I do have a strategy for 7/27 though...

Re: Hold\'em with weak jokers

Reminds me of a game that one guy used to deal way back when we played dealers choice with wild cards (over 10 years ago). He would deal holdem where the last card was wild. After playing this game...

Re: Uncomfortable staring players down.

I try not to stare directly at someone unless I'm heads up. Instead, look in their general direction but try to keep an eye on the whole table, not just one person.

You could also focus more on...

Re: Ruling on button

I just use the idea that the button has to move. If a player still in had the button before the hand, the other person gets it. If the person that had the button gets knocked out, it just moves to...

Re: The pot was short $500 but I found the money

I think most people would return the money.

The bottom line is that when you have a game, if you are the host, you should be held responsible for the money. This happened at a local game -- cash...
