Re: J9s turn
I did a quick calculation to weigh pushing vs. calling here. I assumed we have 12 outs and if we call, we'll get his stack about 2/3 of the time on the river.
The point where pushing became more...

Re: K5o blind battle
I check this turn almost always. You've got a small pot where free cards aren't killer and a scary card hitting which will often put you behind in the hand and may allow your opponent to bluff you...

Re: turn bet check up
I think a lot of ground could be made in this problem if we were able to put BB on a range after his flop call. If his range is very wide, then I like a bet as there are many hands with 6 outs that...

turn bet check up
UTG is loose and passive.
BB just sat down and I have no stats on him.

Re: A few tricky spots
[ QUOTE ]
So you think I should just check it through? Or bet and fold to the c/r?
[/ QUOTE ]
I would bet and fold to the raise. Even if you are ahead, he has at least 6 outs against you.

Re: A few tricky spots
1. Sounds like this guy's range after his flop raise is wide enough that you have enough outs to call the turn and see a river.
2. Against these guys I think calling is fine.
3. I guess the...

small pot flush draw
MP is 28/10/1.76 after ~100 hands.
SB is 37/18/2.14 after ~250.
No legit reads on either.

I would rather check/raise this on the flop and take it from there. Your hand is pretty strong h/u so I think it has value, and even though the pot is small the coordinated nature of the...

Re: Between 2 LAGs
Not sure I like the flop call with a LAG behind you.
With the number of outs you have on the turn, I'd think that turn bet is standard.

I had just sat down and UTG is unknown. I have a decent amount of stats for 10/20 players so he's no regular.

I call and fold to a raise.

I think this is fine. At this point, you're probably relatively way ahead or way behind SB so just let him come along if he wants.

Re: whats the play?
[ QUOTE ]
I always call the turn here, although I don't know if it's that clear. If he has a big PP, you have 7 outs. If he has a better ace, you have 7 outs. This is almost exactly the odds...

Hand 1 I think is fine to do once in awhile.
Hand 2 I like betting out on the turn because MP's flop donk has to shift his range more towards hands with few enough outs that you'd like to keep him...

Re: 85s blind battle
I think I'd bet the turn here. I doubt he'd go for a check-raise quite as often on a board as drawy as this one so I think you'll see it rarely enough that you can bet to protect your vulnerable...

Re: AT BB vs TAG

Ok, let's assume the turn goes ck-ck and the river bricks out (pairs the board or something). Should I check-call here or is that spewy? Is calling the river part of the ck-call turn line?...
