Re: New weaktight.com | Hand Converter | Hand Poster

I tried it out, love the calculated win percentage, it really gives weight to my bad beat whines. lol
I think my favorite feature though is the ability to display opponents' stats, very helpful in...

Re: Is this man really shoving anything I beat?

Feels like you could find a fold on the turn

Re: trips with bad kicker line check:

To me this shows the flip side of the yeti theorem, considering the call pf and the bet/call on the flop an eight seems very likely. Overpairs seem out of the question, if this is a draw its very...

Re: KK flops a set against donk but idiotic play makes river really to

The reason he's folding to all of your c-bets is that he is playing 88% of his hands pf. By continuing your usual pattern of c-betting your opp will pay of if the flop catches him at all. That being...

Re: Playing KK on the river in position

I think that this is a quintessential value-betting situation. Imagine if you were in the Villan's shoes with KQ. He's done a good job of pot control, even reducing your turn raise size. It's that...

Re: Nl 50 - TT against turn shove

I'm assuming 100 effective? I can't find a call here, only ahead of air.
Edit: Air + 88,99 but unlikely, I'd still fold

Re: AK - how did I play it?

I agree that the hand generally looks good, but disagree that the pf bet is incorrectly sized. The way I read it, the bet is 5x with 2 limpers behind, seems about right to me. There's definitley...

Re: NL 25 JJ 3bet preflop, Q on flop and a bot pet...Whats my line?

Raise UTG/Call RR, lead flop is a very strong line, only hands we beat here are AK, and random mid pairs, both seem unlikely IMO.

Re: quick all in question

Way more information needed, in general though I would argue for getting the money in only with 2nd nut or better flush.

Re: 10NL: medium flush on river facing reraise

[ QUOTE ]
Every 2pair will call a shove, probably even AQ will call a shove on this limit

[/ QUOTE ]
Difference of opinion, I guess. Set I think youre right.

Re: QQ meh

I would probably do the same theres no way to value bet the river without felting him, and hes not gping to the wall w/o the A. Nice hand.

Re: 25 NL in BB, Made pair on flop, lost to trips

[ QUOTE ]
Yeah unraised pots i don't generally make a stab at without TP+. For this very reason!

[/ QUOTE ]

Never betting at abandoned pots without TP+ would be a throwing away money IMO

Re: How would you play this hand on the river? (NL50 6 max)

I agree in that Tight is Right pf when starting out; but I'd be looking to mix it up for half a bb pf with the anticipation of check folding the flop once I'm comfortable with the game.

Re: 25 NL in BB, Made pair on flop, lost to trips

I'm sorry if I was unclear. In no way did I mean to advocate a check or a "slowplay" (lol) on this hand. I agree with your prescribed action but just meant to question the motivation. Thanks for...

Re: QQ 3bet PF - Villain goes AI on flop

Ahead of:
AJ, AT (unlikely) AhKh (barely)

Behind:
AA, KK, JT (unlikely)
Dominated by:
JJ, TT

I yell profanities at my dog and fold.

1) don't post results. I'm not able to make an objective analysis then.
2) If you know that you messed up the hand, post it in the microbrew and vent it there.
3) A stab on the flop is...

Re: 10NL: medium flush on river facing reraise

I think that a medium sized bet on the turn is correct here.
You have 2nd pair which is nothing stellar but it puts you ahead of drawing hands at this point. In additon big hands like sets will...

Re: How would you play this hand on the river? (NL50 6 max)

[ QUOTE ]
It seems like most people believe this is a fold preflop. My question is what do we complete here in SB after button limps? A5? AT? 78suited? QJ off? Where do we draw the line?

Re: Sanity check

I think that you can safely say that all of AA, AKs and QQ are equally likely here. When you're behind (AA) you're not dead, and QQ he's the same, so cancel them out with a slightly higher weight on...

Re: NL 50 - Simple turned-flush hand checkup

The only place I think you might think about letting this go is on the flop, but thats borderline at worst. Otherwise it's pretty standard

Re: NL10: KK 3 way, shorty all in, increasingly bs board

Re: NL 50 - Overpair kings against likely TAG

170bb effective stacks make this a much tougher hand. I'd be more worried about a set on the flop than Aces, but there are people out there who never 3-bet AA, so it's possible. I don't see how you...

Re: How often does this happen?

Variance = A statistical interpretaion of luck.

It's brutal to go through it, but each of those set over sets that victimized you will come back the opposite way eventually. Just keep evaluating...

Re: Too Aggressive should I slow down for value?

Quote: Playing your strong hands fast isn't often a mistake IMO though

Completely agree, I think that we can maximize a bit here, but default is big hand = bet bet bet
