Re: 2/4 FR limit at Foxwoods
Play 2/4 to get the feel of live play but don't expect much return for your investment. It's a good place to get comfortable though. Once you're comfortable with live play at Foxwoods, move on to 4/8...

Re: Horrible turn card
I like the turn check because you don't want to get check-raised but now villain knows you don't have an A. Call the river as you're ahead of villain a good % of the time.
Cheers.

Re: Hold a fish to the rules or let it go?
It's a 4/8 game. No one's going to make or break their mortgage at the 4/8 table. Keep it friendly and quit playing the table sheriff. Sure, 4/8 players are a dime a dozen today, but tomorrow ...

Re: Atlantis (bahamas), thinking about going
There is no poker at Atlantis resort as of this spring when I was there last. Try the Crystal Palace in Nassau. They spread NL. If you search the forums there is plenty of info.
Cheers.

Re: anyone else colourblind?
Ah yes, the ole what color is "X" song and dance that we all endure. No matter what answer you give, they're still going to look at you like you're an alien. Of course, sometimes I probably look like...

Re: Crystal Palace Casino in Nassau
They run poker Thursday through Sunday, mostly 1/2 NL and 2/5 NL. Games start at 7PM ish (Bahamian time). Rake is $8 a half hour but your run-of-the-mill tourist donk will more than make up for the...

Re: foxwoods 4-8 kings- good fold?
I've probably made the same flop raise against the same lady at Foxwoods trying to get a free turn or fold out of her. No go for me either. She'll donk with crap on occasion, but unless the pot is...

Re: WHY DO YOU LISTEN TO THESE PEOPLE?
[ QUOTE ]
There are hot seats.
Like any hot streak in any gambling game like blackjack, roulette, craps there is no set way the cards are distributed.
Seat 3 can have the winning hand 20...

Re: Poker in the Bahamas?
They "open" the poker room at 7PM, Thurs - Sun, so you should try and get there at 7ish and get in line. The dealers roll-in around that time and the floor will make an appearance 715 to 730 ish to...

I actually moved down to 2/4 for a couple hours just so I could avoid playing with grumpy middle-age weekend 4/8 and 5/10 regulars who smell like they forgot to shower this...

I think it's more they see monsters simply because they don't really look beyone their own hand regardless of the skill of their opponent. So when they see someone still betting, they...

Re: foxwoods 4-8 K-K
Part of the problem is that we'd like to assume that other players play logically. WE would all bet (or checkraise) having made our flush on the river, but your typical FW player's brain could be...

Re: FSDR?
This is Foxwoods 2/4, which IMHO, means that SB could very well have a 5 but it's really read dependent. SB WILL have ANY 2 cards here because it's "just a dollar" to call and given the passivity of...

Second that. Stay away from the buffet (unless you like hearing your stomach gurgle at the poker table) and go to the Golden Dragon. Tsingtao and spring rolls.

Re: FOXWOODS .. getting in under 21.
You will need a Foxwoods card to sit at a table or, I believe, a photo ID. However, should you try with your "fake ID" and get busted, you'll probably be banned from the casino, screwing yourself out...

Doesn't sound like it creates a good atmosphere at the table. Just because you're a shark doesn't mean you have to behave like one. Be nice to the fish and they will be happier to part with their...
