Re: XBOX360: What is the sickest soccer game ?

WE has sick gameplay, FIFA has sick graphics; no game has both. So, there really isn't a sick soccer game yet. The next WE will assuredly be sick. They just need to build a next-gen engine, which...

Re: How much does mult-tabling affect your \"poker education?\"

This is a great topic. I've never really liked the concept of multi-tabling in terms of furthering ones game. It teaches you important concepts that every poker player should know, but it can only...

Re: $50NL - Flush draw on the button

I like PF and I like the $9 call. Then comes the tricky part.

I don't see how CO doesn't have K10. You need the right odds to hit your flush, cause 2-pair or trips probably ain't gonna cut it. ...

Re: pot limit omaha book(s)

From my limited understanding, the Slotboom book is supposed to be one of the best on Omaha. I bought it based on the many good things I've heard about Slotboom as a player and the book itself.

Re: The Collective Wisdom of 2+2

I love it when I'm sorta aimlessly trolling around the boards, not getting too worked up, and then I stumble upon a post like this and wake myself from my slumber. In the words of George Costanza,...

Re: Dan Harrington. Justified stiff?

I bartended for 3 years, so I know all about the value of tips. But I've still never understood it. People are way too obsessive about when to tip, who to tip, how much to tip, etc. Quite frankly,...

Re: 25NL Folding two pair on the river vs Rock

Getting 2-1, I don't think I fold this hand at these stakes. But I don't play these stakes.

Edit: it would've helped if I had noticed you were short-stacked. In this case, I shove.

As to Phil Ivey, remember that he's not primarily a cash player -- he's a tourney donk. As such, he's often working to improve his tournament skills. In a tournament you often find...

Re: what % of the time do you slowplay sets?

[ QUOTE ]
This is such a poor question, and people saying almost always or almost never aren't getting proper value from their hands. Each hand should be played independently according to your...

Re: NL50: Turned bottom set, Button takes weird line . . now what?!?!

[ QUOTE ]
That's an interesting hand, Gobias Ind. What hands do you think that your opponent might play it this way with? Some of these hands give your opponent a straight. You're in the worst shape...

Re: 50NL AJ rivers top two, now what?

Probably KQ of spades. This is a real ugly spot to river two pair. I don't see how you can call the river or how you can play it any differently before it, so as to avoid this gross situation. ...

1 - When you pre-flop raise with these hands, you're basically running a semi-bluff. Again, you need a lot of fold equity pre-flop and steal equity post-flop to raise with this...

Re: 50nl session - Hand Analysis

1 - raise or fold turn. From the looks of it, you could have bluffed him out on the river anyways, but don't wait till the river; bluff him out on the turn.

2 - fold PF. You need a lot of steal...

Re: [NL 100] Difficult spot with A,4s FD+Gutshot on the flop
