what % of the time do you slowplay sets?

[/ QUOTE ] It really depends if the pot is raised or not, if I'm in position or OOP, and if I raise is my opponent likely to fold because he's weak tight but will spew if I just call?

ex of weak tight but will spew if i call. obv i had a read on him and this hand would be much different if I weren't in position.

This is such a poor question, and people saying almost always or almost never aren't getting proper value from their hands. Each hand should be played independently according to your image, your opponent's image, and flop texture. But in general, slowplaying is bad as you want to get the monies in when you have a monster yo.

I am in general agreement. fast playing sets is the way to go, especially when you have called a players preflop raise. At the lower limits, there are way too many players willing to play for stacks with top pair so why not get the money in when they think they have the best hand. Not only does slowplaying let draws get ther on the cheap, it also allows scare cards for your opponents that prevent them from losing their stack to you. Flop a set and jam the pot!!
I think the only time that slowplaying a set is better is when it is obvious that the boards has missed your opponent(s) AND there are no obvious draws available.

I think I agree with this post the most out of all of them. Whatever line results in the largest pot is usually the one you want to take. Sometimes that will mean slowplaying, but most of the time it will mean betting. Lots of things already mentioned in this thread will affect what the final decision should be.
