Re: raise 3.5 times or more in deep stack?
[ QUOTE ]
of course when you've got the low pockets, like 2s or 3s or something, you should make your raises even bigger because you simply want to take down the blinds. probably make it about...

drama pwnage
I mostly just lurk 2p2 and don't post much, but I live in the same house at college as GaryStevenson, Green Kool Aid, and some others.
Anyway, some of you are a little cultured and I need help. ...

Re: 10NL: Rivered flush, call or raise?
[ QUOTE ]
A half decent player wont call a raise on the river without a strong flush or a full house, so call.
[/ QUOTE ]
10NL players aren't half-decent on average.

Re: 10NL: Rivered flush, call or raise?
Just calling the river seems weak to me, at micro stakes isn't there a lot of value to be had by raising here? There are multiple worse hands that would call and the odds of someone having a...

Re: AK TPTK laydown
This situation is of course read dependent, but villain at this point only has $18 behind right???? We have TPTK and don't have to worry about large bets on future streets.
I think his range is...

Trouble with AQos out of position
No reads on the player on the button. It's 0.05/0.10 NL. I'm usually an MTT player but I'm trying to learn cash games while playing at micro stakes.
I feel like the turn call is standard because...

Re: 50NL 6-max table...what\'s my play?
[ QUOTE ]
I checkraise here. Leading out may fold out TT/JJ/QQ/KK that may have cbet.

But it also lets the villain check behind if he has a flush draw, which is a big problem. ...

Re: AK oop $25nl 6max
Your preflop play is fine.
However, you probably shouldn't bet so much when leading out postflop. 3/4 pot would've been fine because it would've had the same fold equity if he didn't catch...

Re: $10 Deepstack AA hand
It's times like this when it's good to have a read on your opponent. With no such information assume he is a standard donkey and push.

Re: 50NL Tough QQ hand for me
Also, raise more preflop. The way you played it he is justified in calling preflop with a lot of hands. Make it $8 or something.

Re: Reluctant to raise 99 preflop
I don't like raising with pocket 9s preflop in microlimit games. The problem is that hardly anybody in these games would ever fold two overcards, which means the flop is likely going to at least...
