Default Trouble with AQos out of position

No reads on the player on the button. It's 0.05/0.10 NL. I'm usually an MTT player but I'm trying to learn cash games while playing at micro stakes.

I feel like the turn call is standard because of the pot odds. But does he have a weaker ace (as opposed to AK) enough to justify the flop call? Should I have layed this down?

I always get uneasy with this board and someone raising me. Really your action depends on your read of villain, is he donkish enough to be calling a preflop raise with AJ and then thinking it's this strong of a hand? I think usually you are up against AK or A6 here.

The turn call is inconsequential at that point since you already have so much money invested, but I would have probably checked the turn.

Why not b3b ai on flop? Villain is shortstacked. If you're willing to call it all in on the blank turn, why not stick it in on the flop?

i agree with this, and really, what turn cards are we not going to get it all in with? i like just pushing the flop to be honest

didnt see the diamond draw, but still, a lot of times that isnt going to slow down a10 here or something like that

OP,

The only hand that passed you on that flop was A6.

Button smooth called your raise pre-flop with 3 left to act, so Axs and PPs are a big part of his range. I would think that AK or KK would re-pop (but who knows, I haven't played this level in a while).

Checking that flop a certain % of time is not a crime either.
