Re: NL100 - Huge river overbet with AA

Haha yes, the check-raise was more or less a joke. I agree with betting more on the previous streets, it would make it a potsized push on the river. Nevertheless I think the same question will still...

Re: NL100 - Huge river overbet with AA

Oh and yes, I could, and probably should have bet more on the previous streets, dunno why I didn't. The same situation would occur on the river anyway, tho it may be less of an overbet.

NL100 - Huge river overbet with AA

My read: the guy is a complete calling station (hint; he had a fish icon over 1,000 hands *blub blub*) and while I could certainy be roped-a-doped here I feel that I am ahead here most of the time. I...

Re: The Well: El Diablo

El D,

Have you ever played with LirarErik (Erik Friberg, who final tabled at the WSOP ME) and if so, what are your opinions about him?

Re: NL100 - Pushing all-in with set when the flushcard hits

[ QUOTE ]
He clearly has a set. Just Push

[/ QUOTE ]

Actually he did have AQ for top two, but I guess that's of no relevance anyway as I guess the probability of a set is much higher in...

Re: NL100 - Pushing all-in with set when the flushcard hits

[ QUOTE ]
When has anyone at NL100 ever folded two pair?

[/ QUOTE ]

Hmm, imo it's a little unrealistic to think such things never occur. Yes NL100 is of course very fishy, but you can't...

Re: NL100 - Pushing all-in with set when the flushcard hits

Well, I guess pushing the turn is definitely standard. The reason for calling is that I think it can confuse some not-so-likely but still possible holdings like two-pair to call a blank river whereas...

NL100 - Pushing all-in with set when the flushcard hits

Villan in this hand is one of the regulars at this stake. I have a couple of thousand hands on him and I have quite a solid read on him. He is tight and quite straightforward, but he is like 17/5/2...

Re: NL100 - Top two on very coordinated board

Your reasoning seems valid, however I was a little afraid of the possibility of 56 and JT given that there were so many limpers. If one of the blinds come alive after my raise I think I have good...

Re: NL100 - Top two on very coordinated board

Sorry my first orbit at the table, had no stats on villain from earlier either.

NL100 - Top two on very coordinated board

I played it right here, didn't I? I was thinking maybe I should raise a little less to possibly get away from the hand. I mean there is two guys behind me also... Even so, I thought I had to raise it...

Re: NL100 - good draw being min-reraised

My play would be to raise to $20. You have a really solid draw, but one of the villain might have a higher flushdraw. By raising you might accomplish several good things; like getting a higher...

NL100 - Calling a shortstack AI on the river with 2nd pair

Villain was loose, about 30/6/4 over 150 hands. I had not seen him go completely out of line yet, but he was a live one, no doubt about it. Do you make this call?

Full Tilt Poker
No Limit Holdem...

So, is Full Tilt the place to go to?

Im a NL-player, playing mostly NL100 and sometimes higher, almost exclusively on Party Poker. I guess you are all tired of hearing about the "MONSTER PROMOTION SUXX OMFGAAAA!!!!" and I won't explain...

Though you should never underestimate the donks desire to see another card.

Re: NL100 - Aces get raised on the flop

Excellent point. I figured him for a pair, and albeit I was not sure I agree calling must have been better. I guess I was hoping for something like tens or jacks, or maybe queens (I seriously doubted...

Re: NL100 - Aces get raised on the flop

Flop bet is weak because of the flushdraw, or just generally to weak? I though 2/3 pot would be appropriate to entice some action yet cutting of profit for draws. I notice that among most ppl on this...

NL100 - Aces get raised on the flop

Villain was tight and solid but fairly straightforward, run like 15/5/2 over 400 hands. I mainly put him on a medium sized overpair, didn't think he would play either a set or a flushdraw this way....

Re: Tough spot with AQs in reraised pot.

Looks like your beat, I think you should fold. Maybe you shouldn't have lead the turn but Im not sure about that one.

Re: KK - 100NL, probably simple?

LOL, I must say that I really can't argue with Reefs advice either. It's VERY likely that you are beaten, just that I would really hate hate HATE to laydown the overpair here since it's still a high...

Re: KK - 100NL, probably simple?

Not really a nice board for you, that's for sure. Also he makes a very suspicious, small raise, but I don't like calling. He might be raising with just a draw and a lot of potential turn cards will...

Re: J9s 100NL Party

Being OOP sucks, as always /images/graemlins/wink.gif Had villain checked then this would be a very easy bet in position, picking up that powerful combo draw. I'm not sure about betting IN to him...

Re: NL50 - AK, semibluffing all-in on turn

That was my thought also. Probably having as good as 2:1 I figured that adding possible FE wold make this a +EV move. Not that sweet if he calls with say 8's or 9's almost every time tho.

Re: NL50 - AK, semibluffing all-in on turn

Hehe who doensn't hate going broke with ace high /images/graemlins/wink.gif I really didnt consider 56 an option since he had quite tight calling standards, albeit the flush is a possibility what I...
