Re: Tennis Matches Fixed?
Davydenko is playing again today against another Russian, Youzhny. Sharp books (Pinny, Betfair) make Youzhny a small favourite, but square books may still rate Davy.
I can't believe how little...

Tomas Berdych speaks about it in an interview. Apparently some ex-mafia guy spoke to all the players earlier this year in Miami. Fascinating.
Q. Did you go to the talk that the Mafia boss gave...

Re: Tennis Matches Fixed?
This thing stinks to high heaven. Davydanko opened as a 1/7 favorite, which is about right for the number 4 player in the world against a relative nobody. By the time the match started he wasn't...

Fascinating. Is it really as obvious as this guy claims?

Are any details known about what this guy was betting?
I love this story.
I feel in my gut that this is a very isolated individual case, not a sign that fixes are in all over the place. ...

Re: too carefull?
This is a crying call if ever I saw one. A weak tight player will almost never lead out here without the nuts. You're screwed, but you obv can't quite fold either.
Not sure if it's correct,...

Re: find a fold?
Would it be poor to just call PF if raise come from UTG 5 handed? I don't think so. So how bad can it be to just call from one position closer? Gets back to that concept about how creating correct...

Re: hahahaha, ok buddy
He has AA or KK. When you quickly call his check raise he gets spooked and realizes he's behind, thus the river check. c/r on turn was just retarded, but people overplay AA all the time. Bet the...

Re: find a fold?
Personally, I need AQ or better to raise this PF. If villain is typical decent player, his range UTG 4 handed is A9 up, so AJ is not good enough for a raise IMO. I would then fold to one bet on the...

Re: Common 4 straight situation.
As usual in a shorthanded game, knowing your opponent is everything. Key question is: "Is this guy capable of bluffing at this pot?" If yes, you should check the turn, else bet.
Most likely...

Re: QQ get\'s donked on river in big pot.
I like flop raise with 3 to act behind you but I hate the turn bet. When 2 players cold call 2 bets behind you, you're pretty much toast. I'd be delighted for turn to check all the way through. ...

Re: Weaktight goes crazy, I fold top pair.
Everyone says it's a horrible 3bet on flop, but it seems to me it saved us 1 big bet. You have to fold when a guy with his stats caps flop and leads turn. That said, I'm sure if I were playing it I...

Re: river call
I'm definitely in the c/r flop camp. A player with his stats will often give up right there, and if he 3bets then you can fold the river. As played, it's a must call. WAY too many hands he could...

Re: bad calldown?
I'd be inclined to cap PF in this spot since SB probably has nothing and you have position. I would definitely raise the flop here hoping to get rid of SB's overcard(s) and to see what BB does. If...
