pot size is messed up

you still beat AK therefor call
kind of a crude rule and it applies more to capped pots but I think you're good here enough of the time

if you're going to fold a brick river you should fold on the flop or turn instead

I'd be inclined to cap PF in this spot since SB probably has nothing and you have position. I would definitely raise the flop here hoping to get rid of SB's overcard(s) and to see what BB does. If villain then 3bets flop HU I may give up on turn, but otherwise I'm definitely taking the free card or calling down. Lots of TAGs will play strong draws strongly and there's a decent chance that BB would play 2 spades, KTs, or AK exactly like this.

I think the river is a fold. Not that I actually do it.

If you're folding here, it has to be the turn when you miss all your back door out cards, not the river.

Also, with LP SB in there, cap PF for value.

I disagree. TAG is usually betting AK/99 on the turn, but not on the river.

I don't like the line.

I would be inclined to raise the turn. I don't like giving players free shots. You also may get him to fold a J.

Cobrettidude,

are you serious?
That's like the third hand you advocate raising the flop/turn with near crap hands for some weird reasons.

Yes. If I am going to pay him off, I would rather put the 2 bets in on the turn where I have some fold equity. In general, I think it is a losing strategy to simply call down medium pocket pairs when there are overcards like this.
