Re: NL10: SB steal attempt

Alright...

I'm comfortable with the pre-flop & flop play. Should have bet a bit more on the flop like suggested.

But I'm still not quite sure where I stand on the turn with a low pair against...

Re: NL10: SB steal attempt

yah, I think a check would have been better on the turn. And a bigger raise on the flop as well would have been better.

However on the river, I'm pretty sure my hand is the best here like...

NL10: SB steal attempt

This hand turned out strangely leaving me a bit confused. Initially, I just wanted to steal the blind and/or at least show that I'm active since people have been folding to my pre-flop raises so far....

Re: 10nl - jj pf decision

You're getting 3.33:1 pot odds to call 1.20$. Your odds for flopping a set are about 7.5:1.

Therefore you'll be needing implied odds to call. Assuming you called, the pot would be 5.20$. We can...

Re: NL10: KK in the BB

yah... I guess I was pushing a bit too much on that one.

So, as a general rule of thumb for similar spots, would this make sense?

Re-raise pot size + (number of caller*BB)

in this case that...

Re: NL10 - JJ facing two barrel minimum donk bet

I would have gone with at least a 0.60$ raise on the flop, perhaps even 0.80$.

As for the turn, you could still be ahead, plus you've still got 5 outs if you're not ( T's and J's). So you could...

NL10: KK in the BB

Both limpers are very loose and have been calling down some pre-flop raises, and the SB is somewhat loose as well...

NL10: AKo Early Position

Villain is playing loose, seeing the flop a bit less than half of the time. I assume Villain saw me as tight since this was the first hand I played in about 30 hands now.

Re: NL10: QQ Early Position

I would make a note of BB doesn't know how to play big pocket pairs preflop.

I would have made a PSB on the flop and folded to a reraise, i would put him on AJd, AQd or a set in this situation.

Re: NL10: QQ Early Position

yes, but I don't like to see a raise & re-raise on a paired flop that could have connected with either.

The odds that they are both bluffing shouldn't be that great and I can assume they both...

This is 10NL if he has Ad or Kd, he's going all the way 75%+ of the time.

all, the better in that case, since he isn't getting the pot odds to justify a call with a draw....

Re: NL10: JJ in Middle Position

[ QUOTE ]
I'd rather push the flop than the turn. You at least have some folding equity on the flop and he's obviously calling the turn AI so you are essentially doing it for value.

Re: NL10: JJ in Middle Position

The chances he is beating me with a set are neglected by my outs for beating him with a flush (even considering he could make the boat).

Re: NL10: JJ in Middle Position

well, I figured he likely had AK,AQ,QQ maybe KK or KQs. He would have re-raised me PF with AA being OOP. Since he's a tight player and probably saw me as a tight player, I doubted he call my raise...

It looks like you're beating the BB caller, he doesn't seems to have the flush, nor the straight judging by his way of betting and calling the turn & river. He could have wanted to check/raise you...
