Re: On Bubble, Value Bet River All In?

More importantly, will the last bet be called often enough by a worse hand to risk an otherwise healthy-ish 1,800 left in chips?

Re: On Bubble, Value Bet River All In?

Despite Villain being typically loose/passive, is there any reason to think we're beat here and should maybe slow down?

Re: 99 late in $5 tourney

[ QUOTE ]
Okay, after some time to think I see how bad this is. I'm pretty new to tournaments and I get over aggressive sometimes. Out of curiosity, does anyone shove if SB is not in the hand? I...

Re: JJ on bubble, help with ICM tournament equity?

I appreciate the kind words, but I am looking for some serious analysis. I recall in HoH vol. II Harrington talks about folding QQ to an all in push on the bubble, but that was for a one table SNG...

Re: 99 late in $5 tourney

Shoving the flop probably has your best folding equity, but you're playing your 99 as a bluff since you aren't even ahead of QT or A8s. I still think you're going to get called a lot and I don't like...

Re: 99 late in $5 tourney

I'm guessing blinds are 600-1,200? Pushing pre flop screams to me: "I have a medium pair and don't want to play a flop.", Of course this flop is why you don't want to play one. I might have put in a...

Re: Trying to balance this position and stack size stuff on the bubble

I think 22 is shove or fold. If you make it 1500, BB is going to push either pre flop or on the flop. With the table playing tight, you probably have enough folding equity to make shoving profitable....

Re: KQo Short Stacked vs 4xbb PFR, Push?

Unless you've seen this guy open a large number of pots I wouldn't push here. I think it's an instacall for Villain i.e. no folding equity, and it's unlikely in my opinion that Hero is ahead. I think...

Re: Play though a hand with me here....

Wow, this thread is awesome! At this point I'd guess it checks around on the river, EP raiser turns up 3-3 while everyone else mucks with Hero kicking himself for never having taken a stab at it.

Re: Here we go again - QQ in the hole against a huge re-raise pre-flop..

vs. {JJ+, AK} QQ has 48% pre-flop equity, so I don't think calling is wrong. Hellmuth would probably fold thinking he can find better spots against softer players at the table and that's fine too....

Re: $30 + $5 Midnight 44 Person Live Tourney -- Numerous Hands

Hand 1: I think this is OK, but I'm sure you still got called. Bet the turn if it's not a club, 4, 6, 9 or A. If you get raised, fold.

Hand 2: I would min-raise to 650 so that if someone behind...

With blinds 100-200 Hero has a slightly below average stack at 3,000. Villain (5,400 in chips) who is known to be loose limps from early-middle position. Hero has two black 7s two from the button....
