Re: driving when the oil indicator light goes on

Meh you will be fine. A friend of mine did seize up a block once, but there was at least a 30% chance he was trying. I think he ran it completely dry and still got a hundred clicks or so.

Re: which is worse, turn or river?

Well the river is only bad because you bet so small on the turn. Pot would be what, 2200 if you call? So make it 2100 at least, that's 1500 more to him and prevents him from bluffing the river.

Re: Lindgren\'s $340k Golf Prop Bet Today

Yeah. And after hitting that many balls his arms will be dead. Never mind that he will have been walking around in the 110 degree Nevada sunshine for 12+ hours. I once played 2 back to back rounds...

Re: JK Hits JJ9 board, NL400

Fold pre-flop. On the flop you need to raise a bit more, I prefer making it between 90 and 110; bet the turn; as played raise the river.

I would like to hear your thoughts on why you called...

Re: Top five most significant historical events of the past 2100 years

[ QUOTE ]

The assassination of Archduke Ferdinand

[/ QUOTE ]

Oooooo good one. I'd definitely add this to my top-20, but bonus points for being a one-day event.

Re: Top five most significant historical events of the past 2100 years.

1. Electricity
2. Printing press
3. Merchantilism
4. St. Paul's contribution to the bible
5. The Peace of Westphalia

I should qualify this list though to say what I would rank from 4 to...

Re: Running the Sahara

I've heard a few comments about the dangers of climbing Everest, but how about the dangers of running across the Sahara?

Lions and snakes and volitile unfriendly regimes oh my!

I call both to be honest

Re: AK semi-deep plan from the flop onwards

I agree that my flop bet is a bit small.

Gamblor, he's not calling 1350 more with KQ.

Anyway I called the flop. The turn was 8 /images/graemlins/club.gif and he bet 180. I called. The river...

Here's my diet/exercise routine for the past work week. I'd say its pretty typical for me. My current stats are 6'2, 197, 35 inch waist (measured with a tape at my narrowest point of my abdomen). ...

Re: The Food Thread

There is a surprizing lack of veggies on most of these lists. Every week I go through a ton of veggies, probably at least 5 servings a day on average.

I also see lots of soy and tuna, not...

Re: LC: Is there anything I can do here to disguise my hand?

I mean I guess you could flat call to try to get CO+1 to call, but that's the only alternative imo and I don't think it's a good one.

Meh just get it in. CO has 400 and will call. The first two are folding anyway, no matter what you do.

Re: 2-5 flopped full house hand; two questions

I guess I'm saying I can see an argument for raising to make sure the money gets in against a five or a flush, but I'm definitely not raising to fold an ace. So if your read is that he has an ace,...

Re: 2-5 flopped full house hand; two questions

What ace does a decent player limp utg with, then flat calls a raise with? ATs, AJ? Maybe AQ?

What ace can call a turn three-bet with? AK? Maybe AQ?

If he does have an ace, do I want to...
