Re: What the smartest Vegas poker boss will do.

10 handed tables aren't always 10 handed. People like to get up and go for walks all the time in live play.

Re: [x] Hate this spot. NL25.

[ QUOTE ]
His money is still in the pot, you have to call ~11 to win ~20. I see what you mean by "You can't win his bet" but that has nothing to do with calculating pot odds, because when you look...

Re: KK and 2 pair board

I don't think the river bet is any good. There are few hands that you beat that you're getting value from (lower pocket pairs?).

Re: $0.50. Top pair problem

Push or fold the turn i guess.

Against a tighter player I'd fold.

Re: NL100 - misplayed KK overpair 3 way?

Perhaps bet a little more on the flop so that you can push the turn? (because you clearly feel pot committed on the river).

Re: 99 HU and OOP...how to avoid the discomfort?

check/fold?

You're behind every legitimate hand he can hold:
TT+,AT+,KT+,QT+

And i'm not sure if he holds AT/QT vs AK/AQ/KQ enough of the time that he'll consider folding to a bet.

Re: $215 AK interesting turn spot

[ QUOTE ]
Shove it up, can't fold.

[/ QUOTE ]

Out of curiosity, how much would we need to have left to consider check/folding this turn?

Re: [50NL] QQ vs A-high board

I've seen this hand before in PNLH -- you check the flop with AK to get action from hands like QQ and JJ.

(i.e. you check the flop, so your opponent is curious as to why you didn't C-bet. He then...

Re: AJ in multiway pot

Help a clueless noob out, why is this an easy river value bet? We're hoping that 6x, Ax or TT is going to call our turn raise and river bet? Is it because a smaller J will pay us off?

Re: AA, dangerous board

I'd probably bet. I'd need more of a read on BB to check behind -- i.e. I'd have to know that he's tricky enough to c/r the turn with Jx. But then again, he might even try a C/R with KQ and you...

Also, folding the flop, as some have advised, is not good.

check/fold the flop?

Turn:
Check and see if button wants to get active. I'd imagine he would be the most likely candidate to have a made flush or straight.

Re: A8s, huge flop

Are you thinking about raising the flop and betting the turn instead?

I think the river check is fine -- what do you expect your opponent to throw away or pay you with if you bet? A9, A8/6/5/4?

Re: 100NL: Turned Set on 4straight board

100-(5+8+20) = $64 left in hero's stack -- 2:1 to call.

After thinking about it for awhile, I'm not sure if I really want to call this bet. It's entirely possible that our opponent flopped a...

Re: Is this always a set?

[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ]
What do you need, like 30% equity to call?
(There's a lot in the pot already)

You're 11.9% vs a set (33/22/TT)
You're 90.7% vs another overpair (JJ/QQ/KK)

11.9(a) +...
