check/fold the flop?

Turn:
Check and see if button wants to get active. I'd imagine he would be the most likely candidate to have a made flush or straight.

c/f the flop. The pot is small, and you're drawing to probably something like 6 outs.

On the turn, I'm c/fing if button raises, and c/r otherwise.

Bet the turn. This gets checked around a lot. Even if you have the best spade, there are many other river cards you should charge your opponents to draw to. You have the best hand here quite often.

Also, folding the flop, as some have advised, is not good.

Why is folding the flop not good? Is it because we have 3 clean outs to the straight and 5 clean outs to a pair better than 9's?

Given your statement that folding is bad, is betting better than check/calling?

As played, I like betting the turn for the reasons McGee gave
