Re: Standard 15/30 river question.
standard line in this spot is to check behind on the turn for two reasons. to protect yourself from being checkraised when you still have four outs against a str8 (conversely, you would bet top pair...

I am so morbidly fascinated with this picture of Clonie that I may just use it as my screensaver.
I think the only explanation for her appearance is that she did half an eight-ball, rubbed...

As part of the older school generation that always tried to look sharp and prosperous (see johnny Hughes) in case we had to try to con a legitimate guy out of something, I am sometimes really...

Re: Aces -- ugly turn
Raise, unless original turn bettor is capable of three betting with a pair and a flush draw. Then calling or folding are both reasonable I guess.

I like your bet here specifically because I would expect a raise from the villian. You were able to put maximum amount of pressure on the other two players who have yet to show any strength by...

Re: Comm 40: KK vs Gabe and a donk
I like it. You kept the BB in by simply calling along and you let gabe possibly bluff off his money if he is behind. Standard, but not played this way much anymore.

Re: Almost first in, baby pair
In a five dollar rake game, which is pretty common everywhere but Vegas, folding this spot is not as horrendous as some on here are claiming, especially if you are playing for a living.
That said,...

Re: 20/40 Kill, oop w/ 3way action
You need to be rasing any chance you get with this hand.
Preflop, definitely three bet, you need to get this heads up with the steal rasier, and this hand definitely doesnt play well four handed...

Re: Get sexy with top set? 77 in the BB
I think this is an easy smooth call and turn checkraise. No reaistic draws. The presence of the fish makes the smooth call checkraise a cinch play I think. This is a wet dream hand by the way.

My main point is...

Re: live 20 hand
checkraise the flop so you can bet the turn and check the river to induce a bluff from an in position opponent who creatively puts you on the naked ace.
