Yes, EVDO. (I live in Jersey work in NYC.)

Data plan is $45 (you MUST have the unlimited plan, or you will go broke!!!). To tether, use PDAnet by June Fabrics. It's $35, but it beats paying...

I have verizon for my cell service, and in the NJ/NY area coverage is excellent, even in tunnels.

Well I know a majority aren't, but I always thought the top few were regulated (however weak) in some way. Party is a publically traded company in the UK, so there is some regulation there. But...
