Using Moto Q and laptop to play wirelessly...
I know a while back people (one of them being me) wanted to know the connectivity issues of using verizon wireless service to play online. I currently tether my Motorola Q (use my phone as a modem) to my laptop to play on PokerStars everyday on my commute home from NYC each day. I've had a few drop offs for a few seconds-1 minute, but nothing major, and it may have been because of problems with my laptop or phone not necessarily the service itself. The dropoffs haven't been bad at all, and I continue to play each day. I've got a 1+ hour train ride, so it makes the time go by and maybe I can make some money in the process.

Yes, EVDO. (I live in Jersey work in NYC.)
Data plan is $45 (you MUST have the unlimited plan, or you will go broke!!!). To tether, use PDAnet by June Fabrics. It's $35, but it beats paying Verizon $15 extra a month. |

Re: Using Moto Q and laptop to play wirelessly...
Just to make it clear, if you don't have the $60 plan Verizon basically isn't happy if you tether using the Q. If you use PDAnet, basically they can't really find out, but there have been reports of Verizon discontinuing service to people with record high usage (even with the "unlimited" plan). But I imaging playing poker 1 hour a day using the phone shouldn't use too much bandwidth.
