Re: does pacific have a \'win $%^$load mode\' ?

I've been playing extensively on Pacific for four years, and have never noticed anything suspicious. I've played almost exclusively NL sng's and mtt's since those were added to the site about three...

Re: $22: A8s BB w/flush draw vs. min-raiser, level 1

Was wondering a bit about the call preflop. I called because Villain only min-raised, so I'm getting 5-1 with my A8s (including the SB's call).

I know it's best to play tight early on in sng's,...

Re: $22: A8s BB w/flush draw vs. min-raiser, level 1

[ QUOTE ]
Leading the flop is no good, you would have been better off check/calling or folding to a big bet, since your stack is so small. As played, now you've built a big pot relative to your...

$22: A8s BB w/flush draw vs. min-raiser, level 1

$22 single-table NLH sng on Pacific. 7-handed, 10/20 blinds.

Late in the first level, and I'm 2-tabling, so not sure of my read on Villain. I don't have any notes on him yet, which, on Pacific,...

Re: $22: Bubble AQs hand w/flush draw

I see your point, AJ. And finally somebody makes a distinction re: the bubble!

So now if somebody would just tell me what hand(s) they might play differently on the bubble vs. in the money in...

Re: $22: Bubble AQs hand w/flush draw

Option 1: I made the small steal raise because I knew there was a good chance I could pick up the blinds with very little risk, since the BB was playing very tight on a short stack. If I just limp,...

Re: $22: Bubble AQs hand w/flush draw

Good point, Pudge. I probably am underestimating my "suckout equity", especially given that a lot of situations involve two live cards vs two live cards, so I've got a 30-40% chance even when I'm...

Re: $22: Bubble AQs hand w/flush draw

OK, so how about this question then:

What adjustments would you make on the bubble?

What hands would you play differently here compared to the situation if the short stack was already...

Re: $22: Bubble AQs hand w/flush draw

On Pacific the 66 is definitely in just about everybody's calling range here. They're totally in love with their pocket pairs, even though they'll take awhile to agonize before making the call.

Re: $22: Bubble AQs hand w/flush draw

Judging from these first two responses, it sounds like I'm really playing too tight on the bubble.

I know I'm down to just over 10xBB here, but I've been playing more conservatively on the bubble...

Re: $22: Bubble AQs hand w/flush draw

You think I should push (preflop and on the flop), even though I'm on the bubble here? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought the conventional wisdom was to cash in these sng's first, then plays for...

$22: Bubble AQs hand w/flush draw

This is my first hand history post, so please bear with me and let me know if any info is missing, etc. Also, does anyone know of a utility I can use to extract hand histories on Pacific? (they...
