Re: Wheeling Poker Room Review

Hooligan, I have played 2/4 on three different week nights. I only have a couple hours at night to play - usually like 2 1/2. I was there tonight with a cleveland browns fleece on. That 2/4 game...

Re: Wheeling Island Poker Room *update*

2/4 limit hold'em is the lowest. As far as when to miss the big crowds, it seems like right now that is impossible.

Re: Wheeling Island Poker Room *update*

I agree that the dealers seemed competent but nervous which is to be expected.

Cage was ridiculous, I have never seen a cage worker use a calculator to cash out chips. It was quite comical...

Re: \"Soft\" Opening in Wheeling, WV

I walked through at about 9:25 and saw S.G. She was playing a machine and told me about the tourney. I was going to have a beer at the bar and then just decided to go home.

Re: \"Soft\" Opening in Wheeling, WV

Nice post sirfoldalot. Any word on when they are opening? I did notice a lack of TV's. The drink feature sounds pretty cool. If they open Friday, I will be there at some point Friday night. This...

\"Soft\" Opening in Wheeling, WV

Anyone out there attend the charity event tonight for the soft opening of Wheeling Island's poker room? I went down tonight but the tourney was over. Poker room looks really nice. Tables are...

Re: What is your Razor\'s Edge

Persistence was cited in the article as a big one. Read some of the bad beat stories here and some people who are on huge downswings and it is easy to get discouraged in this game. But the upswings...

What is your Razor\'s Edge

I came across a reading the other day by Bob Proctor who is a motivational and goal reaching guru. Anyway, his quote was "The line which separates winning and losing is as fine as a razor's edge." ...

Re: A few hands from my 10NL session

I don't like your slowplay there. You have bottom set with a possible flush draw. It worked out for you but you are giving away alot of free cards that beat you. I don't see where you have odds...

Re: Noob first time LV trip report

The bigot would hate Orleans in Vegas. Dealers from many different nationalities. Seemed like a real nice place, huge room - but it was kind of out of the way. I have no idea where it was as some...

Re: Flopped Set, Board paired on turn, hand strong enough for slowplay?

See my post about slowplaying flopped sets - lol. I don't slowplay this at all. There is a good chance he has an ace and a possibility he has a flush draw I play back at the bettor on the flop and...

Re: For all you kids out there - the dangers of slowplaying top set

Why raise the river here? I suspect he has the flush, if he does he beats me, if he doesn't he folds. I played this hand poorly on the turn and the flop but the river is fine in my own opinion.

For all you kids out there - the dangers of slowplaying top set

Here is a hand that I played so badly it wasn't even funny. This is what happens when you get tired of betting your set and opponent folding on stars $10 nl tables. A great instructional example of...

Re: 2 NL10 hands. Did I bet too much?

Here the button is probably putting you on AK so he is challenging what he percieves as your continuation bet. I like your line here because if he did catch a big piece of the flop, he...

Re: $100 in Vegas

I would sit at 1/2 nl at Bally's. The night I played there it was really soft - that was about 1 year ago though.

The real question is - do you want a good chance that your money will last you...
