I was thinking that our position might take too much equity for raising to make sense. I think the worst suited connector I raise here is like QJ. I...

UTG+1 raises first in. He is a decent player(textbook TAG) and definatly a winner.

5 other people in the hand on the river?
Check, you can decide if you're going to call later.
Now if you have something other than a passive description on the other players, then maybe we need...

Re: Monster Draw played passively on flop
If I knew the BB was going to bet the flop, I would go for the check raise.
Otherwise, as long as your putting in bets it's kind of hard to screw this thing up on the flop.

I'd be of the opinion that if you can't easily replace a grand you probably shouldn't be playing.

Hand 2 if your getting as many to the flop as you describe, I'm calling 77, and debating 88.
Hand 1 looks good, I hate that sinking feeling when they come back to get some more on the river, not...

Re: AQ in MP played passively
This flop you really need to bet. You are ahead of most hands still, and if one of these guys folds, especially the guy left to act, that's really good for you.

Matthew -
Maybe I'll have to give your book a read again. When I read "call" with AQ it was a sign of this book shouldn't be trusted, and I set it down.

Re: 4%
I would think that AQ and JJ are unlikely raises from this guy EP, and he probably won't be happy playing AQ for 3 bets at all.
That leaves 12 ways for Kings, 2 ways for aces, 6 ways for queens on...

Re: Ugh I suck on the river
Bet, he wants to call. If he calls and you lose, that's not so bad. However if you play a good aggressive game this guy may pay the river bet with any two cards "just to see".

Don't forget that the flush card is as much a scare card to the opponent and we can bet a little more often without fear of an ace raising. The opponent won't often have a flush here, because the A...

Who is the Kill blind in this hand? Also what is your position? Depending on those things you might be able to convince me to smooth call, but I'm having a hard time otherwise.
