Re: Bill Frist\'s wife is doing a book signing at my campus tomorrow

What are you hoping to accomplish with this? The law has already been signed. Nor is Ms. Frist involved in the legislative process.

Your intention may not be to harass Ms. Frist, but (and...

Re: Overcall this river?

[ QUOTE ]
Quote:
On the turn, I gave myself 3.5 Q outs and 1+ A out, so wth the pot laying me 11:1, I called.

When the A fell on the river and it was a bet and two calls to me, I took almost...

Re: Overcall this river?

I'll take a stab at this /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Hmm, torn between calling and raising. While typing this out, I've waffled between the two a gazillion times.

I favor raising--seems like...

Hey, that's a good link! Never saw it explained in that detail. Really nice, thanks for posting that!

Re: Clarkmeister Theory

Geez, from what I recall, it went something like this:

If a 4th of a suit hits, and you can safely fold to a raise, go ahead and bet.

You were going to call a bet anyway, so the cost is the...

Set in EP, mostly weak-tight table

This one is from daytime last week. Not a particularly good table, kinda weak tight for the most part. I'm just drinking coffee, enjoying the silence, and not particularly caring that the table...

Re: Loose games: Ed Miller disagrees with HEFAP

Thank you.

I am so hoping that someone will have it sitting around on their computer somewhere. S'pose I'll print that before it disappears too /images/graemlins/wink.gif

Re: Loose games: Ed Miller disagrees with HEFAP

Ah, just makes me be honest over hourly rate. Doesn't do any of that other stuff. Database where I put in how many hours I played, where and what limits, and what I made or lost.

Re: Being a girl...

Have you tried telling her that while you trust her, you don't really trust the other guy's intentions, and that it makes you uncomfortable? That you know it's irrational because you trust her...

Re: Loose games: Ed Miller disagrees with HEFAP

Was too small a sample size, yeah. I should say for that period of time they were winners, and they appear to be winners still, although I lack enough documentation to show it. I use StatKing for...

Re: Dodging bullets?

I think I am seeing your point. I don't have a solid read on either of these guys, as I haven't watched how they play. It looks to me like you're saying that the third guy makes this a value bet...

Re: Dodging bullets?

Heh, this was so interesting to me that I put aside my normal "answer-firstness" and read the whole thread. Terribly naughty of me. So sorry. /images/graemlins/wink.gif With that taint in mind......

Re: Loose games: Ed Miller disagrees with HEFAP

Disclaimer: my opinion follows, and I'm not always right. /images/graemlins/wink.gif

In a game where many people call with A2 or A7 or Q6s, AQ dominates. In a game where a weak A or weak Q will...

Re: Loose games: Ed Miller disagrees with HEFAP

I would be interested in reading these sims if they're still around. I was looking for posev a bit of a while ago, and it seems to be gone. Do you know where I might find it archived? I found bits...

Re: An unpleasant overcall.

I call, hoping to god he just made his flush. These guys both sound pretty crazy, so I figure I just might win this a little bit more often than usual with that board & action. I would certainly...

Re: AA on Nasty Board

That is a really good question, and I'm glad you mentioned it. In this case, I don't know if UTG will fold a small heart or not. I think he might if presented with a large enough bet, though I...

Re: AA on Nasty Board

I was thinking to keep the pot smaller so it would be more of an error for flush draws to call on the turn.

Re: Oh boy!!, ATo raise

Wow. I totally missed how big that pot is 'til I read through that last post. *blinks* I have to rethink my river play.

Seeing as I'd have to call a c/r, hardly ever see people c/r on the...

Re: Oh boy!!, ATo raise

I like the raise. Two random hands, only a button and 2 more random hands behind? ATo looks pretty good!

I would flat-call the flop raise, planning on raising the turn if I like it (club, A,...
