Re: big bad beats dont happen when im playing well

Bad beats happen even when your playing well. someone can hit a 1 outer and there is nothing you can do about it. Even though you may not have made a mistake with how you played the hand...the deck...

dragon...show me a link to this "well documented" information. What your saying doesn't make sense. But maybe that's the way it is in Kansas.

Many of you have no clue what it is like being black...

Re: Black People

That is how I was brought up as well. As for skippy..who says that blacks have a lower IQ? I would bet my bankroll that I trash you in IQ points my friend. My children (5) (8) are probably ahead...

Re: Black People

I have commented. I guess I am one of the few "black" people who break all the stereotypes. I took my SAT's in 8th grade and got a 1290 and never took them again. I make a very good living, have a...

Re: 2/5 Live flopped a boat on a tame board

Sorry for this post...Maybe it should go under the bad beat area. I guess it's an Insta call but before I called I got a gut feeling that one of the guys were drawing to a steel wheel. The river...

In a 2/5nl game at Borgata yesterday Hero got involved in a hand and want opinions on how it was played. Hero is in the BB holding Jc 10c only been at the table a short time sitting with ~$400. ...

2/5 Live flopped a boat on a tame board

In a live 2/5 NL game this yesterday I was in the cutoff with 10s10c. UTG made it 15 to go which meant nothing coming from him. 1&2 fold 3 calls, Hero calls, Button folds and BB calls. Flop comes...

Re: My Snow Day Rant

The fact of the matter is that people do not want to take responsibility for their mistakes for whatever reason. To be honest...I think that many of them simply do not realize that THEY have made...

Re: A move from 1/2 to 5/10NL, A little out of my comfort zone.

JLimbs...Your probably right and I didn't give 2/5 much of a chance. I did well at the table and will take your advise. I may occasionally jump back up but I will try and get 6 months or so of 2/5...

Re: Best 5-10NL games in Vegas?

spyu. It can be done. I average 1K per day at 1/2 back east so doing it at 5/10 with a solid game should be fairly simple.

Re: 5-10NL Bottom set under pressure

He is either baiting you into calling his made flush or he has AA/KK. seems like your best option here is to call. A laydown here would be painful

Re: Learning to fold...

The question is...with this flop what is beating you? A set? unlikely but he could be scared of the spade flush draw. A 10, K 10 are more likely or high suited connectors but a shove with a flush...

Re: A move from 1/2 to 5/10NL, A little out of my comfort zone.

Actually I did try 2/5 and did about the same. The players were not much different than 1/2. I actually found that they were too tight and I found very little action.
My thought process was...I...

Re: A move from 1/2 to 5/10NL, A little out of my comfort zone.

Yes actually it was actually $10,320 minus a few buyins for tournaments. My sessions would last anywhere from 8 -16hrs. I keep a spreadsheet of my sessions and my hrly rate low was $85.71 and the...

Re: commerce 10/20 complete [censored] retardness as usual

Tough spot. The descriptions of the players is {censored}ing hilarious. You might run into a higher mid pair here but unlikely. With the bunch you played with they could have just about anything. ...

A move from 1/2 to 5/10NL, A little out of my comfort zone.

After building up my bankroll in 1/2NL over the last year I decided to take a stab at 5/10. I felt that I had been playing well at 1/2NL and averaged $1,200 the last 8 sessions that I played. I...

Re: JJ in the bigblind

Not a big fan of JJ and typically play them like a mid to low pair.
At any rate...The next card is a 10h and the cutoff pushes all in. At this point I have to put him on a busted flush or a...

Hmmm...raise more on the flop? is raising more for value or to take the pot down? How much more of a raise would you recommend and why?

JJ in the bigblind

I apologize in advance if my format is incorrect. In a live 2/5 game I am on the button with JJ. 4 limpers to me and raises $20 preflop. BB calls and cutoff calls.
Flop is Qs Jc 10s. BB bets...
