NL50 - Playing a draw against overpair
Villain is a known quantity. Solid player - 14/7/2.5. Does not automatically cbet - generally plays overcards cautiously. On the flop I am about 75% sure I am facing an overpair. On the turn I am...

Re: 50NL Pocket Aces w/flush draw on turn
I agree. On a seriously draw-happy flop like this you need to smash the flop. I want everybody to fold to my cbet, since almost any card will complete some draw or other.
As played I check and...

Re: NL 50 - AA runs into resistance
I agree - the line just screams out "big hand". That's the problem. It's also the exact line that a tough player would use against a perceived weak player (or in my case, maybe an actual weak...

NL 50 - AA runs into resistance
Villain is known. Tough and solid, but also tricky - probably posts here. But he has a history of raping me, and is perfectly capable of very aggressive play to take advantage of fold equity. I...

Re: Full Ring 101 Questions - N00Bs ask here
Excellent idea - don't know why I didn't think of that.
Do you keep all of PT on there, and run it from the drive? Any special tricks to doing that, or do you just install to the usb drive?

Re: Full Ring 101 Questions - N00Bs ask here
Not a cost issue. I play on four different computers, which means that only 1/4 of the time would I have access to PT stats (unless I just got four licenses). The one I play on the most is the work...

Re: Full Ring 101 Questions - N00Bs ask here
Another multi-tabling question - if this was answered elsewhere in the thread, I missed it.
I don't use PT/HUD displays when I play most of the time. So I have to get my reads the old-fashioned...

Re: Standard line against LAGgy player? 100NL live
This is a standard move for LAGs with draws too (speaking as one). Somewhere between a semi-bluff and a dumbass blocking bet. It's possible he has a set/2p, of course, but I'm guessing either draw...

Brilliant or spewage?
Villain is familiar. Generally tough, but very quick to pounce on weakness. I cbet frequently.

Re: NL 100 - TPTK marginal spot
Your hand is pretty obvious, so he is loudly declaring that (a) he can beat AK/AA, and (b) his has isn't strong enough to slowplay to the turn.
So probably 2p. Unless you have reason to think...

Re: 50NL - Top Two gets c/r on flop
That was pretty much my thought process. Couldn't get much better flop, so I pushed.
But I am not sure what his range is here, though. AA is possible but unlikely, ditto JJ. J8 - I don't think...

50NL - 88 applying PNL commitment theory
I'm in the middle of reading PNL, which I expect will eventually improve my play, but right now it is causing a fair amount of FPS.
Nevertheless, I think I did this right, more or less. Tell me...

NL100 JTs/QJs oop against LAG

Re: AKs vs donk
My point exactly - 16 outs against Villain's hand, but not against the range.
Against AQ - a very likely holding - he has 9 hearts + 1 for straights + 1 for other unlikely runner-runner cards = 12...

Re: New to 6-max, a few 1/2 hands.
Keeping in mind that I am new to 6-max also, my thoughts:
Hand 1 - with two callers on the flop, one of them has an Ace. c/f the turn. One caller I might put on a flush draw, but not two.
