Default NL50 - Trip Aces facing pushback

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (8 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

UTG ($64.50)
UTG+1 ($49)
MP1 ($88.85)
MP2 ($10.45)
CO ($44.45)
Button ($28.85)
Hero ($39.90)
BB ($50)

Preflop: Hero is SB with A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
UTG calls $0.50, <font color="#666666">3 folds</font>, CO calls $0.50, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $2.5</font>, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, UTG calls $2, CO folds.

Flop: ($6) A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
Hero checks, <font color="#CC3333">UTG bets $3</font>, Hero calls $3.

Turn: ($12) 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
Hero checks, <font color="#CC3333">UTG bets $7</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $18.5</font>, <font color="#CC3333">UTG raises to $59</font>, Hero calls $15.90 (All-In).

River: ($80.80) 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players, 1 all-in)</font>

Final Pot: $80.80

I figure I beat everything except AK, A7, 77 (assuming he didn't get lucky with A3 on turn). AK probably would have raised pf. Villain has been fairly selective with his pf hands, and I don't think this player would have called my pf raise w/A7 or A3. That leaves 77 that beats me. I figure his play is also consistent with KK-88, or AJs-ATs, and he just doesn't think I have an Ace.

That was my thinking. Am I just being silly and spewing here, or is this a good line given my reads?

I think this is fine.

Raising flop will usually fold out all worse hands. By calling you are letting him hang himself.

Turn raise is fine, you can't be afraid of 77/33/AK here, I think a lot of weaker aces are in his range.

Sorry you lost.

The way you phrase questions sometimes gives away what happens in the hand

I would raise to $3 preflop after 2 limpers and esp. OOP. I would not check the flop either unless I had a specific read but you don't mention any. Turn is fine.

If you have a relatively high c-bet% then you should just be leading the flop as a check will be more suspicious. In general I think you will make more by leading that by checking. As played, the turn is fine.

I agree that leading flop is better. Turn is fine. Most hands like this that are sort of coolerish usually contain bad results for the OP. Regardless NH.
