200NL: Straight on Paired Board 160BB deep

Villian is 42/7/0.7 over 428 hands, she is definitely capable of bluffing, and she can fire psb with air sometimes.

Effective stack 160BB.

Onto the hand, villian opens for 8 at CO, all fold and...

Re: QQ 3-handed, scary board

MP is short, I dont mind stacking off against him. I would bet 26 and fold if BTN raises. Since the most likely hand for BTN is medium PP, I don't think he will do anything crazy when his hand still...

Re: Whoops, I hit my hand

40/10 can have anything here. I think they pretty much stack off with any pair here. Maybe check flop to induce a bluff from non-pair Ax? You can also bet 1/4 of the pot to induce a shove. Against a...

Re: 200NL: Follow up on my semi-bluff?

Ah that makes sense. In this situation, if I think my opponent is just taking a stab, c/c flop then bet any turn would be a better line?

Re: 200NL: Follow up on my semi-bluff?

Bukem, my flop c/r would be repping sets, JJ+, AT-JT. If I continue betting the turn, my range of made hand would probably be narrowed to sets, KT, KK-AA.

Re: 200NL: Follow up on my semi-bluff?

Forgot to include stack size, effective stack 100BB.

Noah, can you explain why c/r is horrible? I would appreciate an explanation a lot.

My thinking is that the flop is unlikely to hit my...

Re: 100NL: J8s (LOL) UTG+1 Playing as a LAG

Well, that range i had there is the range that is calling your push. My point is that you need him to fold quite a bit of hands, if he raises light, like any 2 overcards, any pair+draw, fd, tp, then...

200NL: Follow up on my semi-bluff?

Villian is 25/16/1.9 over 142 hands. He has been betting quite a bit in position when I do not cbet, hence my flop line.

Onto the hand, folded to me at SB, raise to 7 with Ad5d, BB calls. Flop is...

Re: Blind resteal called by Bigblind, TPGK OOP

When BB cold calls, that is usually a good hand like 99+, AJ+.
I would just try to check all the way if unimproved. Call 1 or maybe 2 bets on the way.

Re: 200NL 6max Good Spot or Forced?

villian is 30/31/3?? pfr > vpip?

This is fine if they will fold QQ or under.

Re: Missed steal opportunity on a paired board 3-way?

I almost always cbet into this type of flop against level 0 players. They will only call you with PP, K or 4, or maybe Ace high. All of those are unlikely.

Did I miss any value with TPTK? 200NL

Villain is 50/15/0.9. Standard fish that calls too much.

Effective stacks 80.

Onto the hand, I opened AKo on the button to 5 (my usual raise), villain calls in SB, BB folds. Flop QT9r, I cbet 8...

Re: OESFD+Pair, Totally Lost, 1/2

Thanks for the response. Seems like the consensus is to push. Villain called and showed KJo for the nut straight, and I hit my straight flush. I was berated of course.

I guess the main question is...

Re: Some Hands From First 1/2 Session

1) Normally I check flop, is that a leak? Given that you bet, I think I would fold turn unless I have note that villian is bluff happy.

2) If villain is standard tag calling 3bets with small sc or...

Re: AQ Blind vs Blind Got 4bet

I would fold AQ if that's the first he 4-bets you. Against the first 4 bets from unknowns, I usually shove AK, AA; call KK and QQ and stack off with no overcards.

OESFD+Pair, Totally Lost, 1/2

Villian is BB, 21/8/1.1 over 61 hands. This is the first time I tangle with him.

100BB effective.

CO and button limps, I complete in SB with QsJs, BB checks. I lead 6 into QcTs9s $8 flop, BB...

Re: 400 NL AA line check

Assuming villain is standard tag, his range for the pf call and flop raise should be sets, flush draws, combo draws, oesd, JJ, TT, A9, overcards, air. As the majority of his range are draws,...
