Whoops, I hit my hand
What now? Given preflop (initial raiser folded) I think it's an easy push when I miss. But here it's extremely unlikely he has the FD, and otherwise he has 0-2 outs. The FPS idiot in me is just itching to pull some fancy-pants move to extract max money from lower pairs, but what? Caller is a 40/10/2 donk.

Re: Whoops, I hit my hand
WTF? Since when does a fake blocking bet work against some random at NL100. Check check check check check.

Re: Whoops, I hit my hand
40/10 can have anything here. I think they pretty much stack off with any pair here. Maybe check flop to induce a bluff from non-pair Ax? You can also bet 1/4 of the pot to induce a shove. Against a 40/10, anything but open push seems good.

[/ QUOTE ] I want 88-10-10 to feel like they have to call a fake block bet, and induce a bluff from total air like AQ.. plus he might get scared on the turn.. Q/J/K/A on turn really kills it for us on the turn against mid-pairs.. but same mid-pair might feel committed after he calls the donk bet. |

Re: Whoops, I hit my hand
Meh, guess I'm just an openbook when I play cos I bet this like any cbet but not as big(prob 30ish). No K is letting go of his hand (KJ/KQss is def part of a 40/10's range here) and flush draws are either calling or shoving on this flop. Checking just screams strength even at 100nl and hands that can catch up with a free card will dominate your TPTK.
Bad thought process by me? |

Re: Whoops, I hit my hand
If we have established that hes a donk why arent we value towning him all the way down? Last time I checked TPTK wasn't a hand to get cute with against a donk.
Bet flop for about $30, maybe check turn for pot control (unless hes truly horrible) and bet river for about $40. And obv call any raise/ c/r unless the board gets scary/ massive read etc.. |
