I just check/fold river. He most often had a fd or K on the flop, neither will fold. I think this is a really bad spot to bluff.

That is a bad river card to bluff. Most of his range will at least call.

Seems like such a simple hand to give up after you get a call on the flop. If this were a HU pot on the flop it may be a little different.

Yeah I usually fire turn with a K so that goes against betting river. I have a good image/his WSD% is 14.81%.
