Re: Bad play?
AJx is a good board for making a probe bet, especially with straight draws out there. Also anyone with 88-TT, KJ, maybe QJ, QK, QT, KT may call, thinking they can take it away from you on the turn...

Re: KK 1020 paired board turns tricky river.
^^^^^ Not necessarily. I don't know this opponent, but if he's the type to push trips, 8-high straight, or an overpair in this case, then absolutely. Having the trips or the straight increases some...

Re: What\'s the matter with me?

Re: Should I Quit Poker for Good? Help..
I agree on some level with every post here.
I have had very similar problems.
I suggest you take a week off to clear your head and to get back into this with a positive attitude.

Re: Positive Mental Attitude
This is a spectacular post. It's very encouraging. I forget this far too often.
I agree that there are some things about Phil Hellmuth that are less than agreeable, but he is always in there...

Re: Hypothetical hand
Original post: just check... you're just losing money to the rake doing anything else. The only time you wouldn't is if you're opponent is a complete retard that folds to every bet.

Re: Tournament risk in coinflip situations?
Asking this question is completely useless.
There is too little information. Are you pushing all-in? Are you calling all-in? What are the players left to act in either situation like? Are they...

Re: KK preflop.. $100NL
I can't see anyone folding KK at this limit, knowing only a little about a particular player. Especially once he re-raised to 31. Calling is dangerous because if an Ace comes on the flop, you have no...

Commerce 10/20 NL - Lost my stack
my stack: about $1200
I had AhJh in BB with a couple of limpers in front of me, putting $70 or $90 in the pot. I had been pretty aggressive so far, and I tried to take the pot with a $150 raise. I...
