Re: GameTime+ vs AceHud
PAHUD, because it runs much more smoothly on my machine. Also, it instantly shows your opponents' hole cards, which alone is worth way more than the $25 when multi-tabling.
(It's been a while since...

Re: Weekend Happy Thread XI: The Rodomontade
The button here is a maniac. He likes to go all-in at any sign of weakness, but he's much more timid about putting his money in if someone else makes a large bet or raise.
I'm not really sure how...

I never attempted to substitute intuition for math. The extra $15 that we don't lose if the button hits nudges...

Say Villains have KK and QQ. What is our EV?
Below winning % are from pokerstove.
As played, we have a 67% chance of winning $67.55. So our EV is $45.26.
If button folds to our...

Re: By Request, an Intro to Poker Math
Thank you for the clarification. I agree that trying to compute the implications of the backdoor flush is -EV.
Str8Fish, I hope I haven't come across as critical in any way. On the contrary, I...

Re: By Request, an Intro to Poker Math
another quick note...
If Villain is soooted, there are several cards that can give him four to a flush on the turn. The number of these possible outs varies depending on which suit he is holding....

Re: By Request, an Intro to Poker Math

Re: HU making small pair
This hand looks like the poster-child for not trying to steal with 25o, except maybe with an excellent read that the blinds just won't defend.
Also, it's hard for me to imagine a player that...

Re: 2/4 AQo in a big multi way pot
Is the turn fold really that bad?
Given that we have two other callers that will probably see the river, I think a lot of our potential outs do no better than split the pot if they hit.
I'm...

Re: 2/4 Big Blind...misplayed?
Villain showed me A2 with no diamonds and my flush was good. This prompted less-than-flatering comments from a couple of the other players.
I can't possibly fold this flop after the raise. I was...
