Re: Foxwoods this w/e?

Just for the record, I was there Monday, and it wasn't super busy. There was never more than 15 people on the wait list for 1/2 NL, and when it got that big, they opened a new table. Less crowded...

Re: Tough Hold \'em Games Update

I ordered from Amazon on April 6, and within the last few hours they changed the expected ship date from May to "shipping soon" with an expected delivery date of Friday the 13th (overnight shipping).

Re: SSHE is the nuts!

Nice post, congrats on successfully building a big bankroll! I wish you would change "You will instinctively realize that..." to "I found that I instinctively realized..."

It feels condescending...

struggle with some concepts like not raising pocket jacks/Aqo in a multi way pot. SSHE says RAISE FOR VALUE, RAISE FOR VALUE, or else you suck at poker. Where as HPFAP says just call and...

Post flop play is PERFECT for the low limit on-line games as well as games all the way up until the middle limits (adjustments need to be made for short handed play), and thats where your...

I don't know, but that reminds me... doesn't Jamie Gold look a lot like Ed Miller?

Re: Is your girlfriend hot?

fwiw, my girlfriend and I saw Zumanity recently and we both loved it. I've seen a couple other cirque shows (not in vegas)... it probably wasn't quite as good as the others, but it was still a fun...

Re: Reasonable Rake/Barcelona Casino

Is this No Limit? Foxwoods charges $10 per hour for $1/$2 blinds, so you're doing better than that. If you assume the maximum of $4 is taken from raked pots, then 25 hands per hour * $4 = $100 per...

Re: Foxwoods on Saturday

[ QUOTE ]

(3) Why does the casino bother with the sit-n-go's when they could open all those tables for 1/2 on a Saturday. The 1/2 tables pay, at $5 per half hour per player, $1,000 an hour to...

Re: Am I the worst razzer ever?

I thought the second hand was played well. Your cards are exceptionally live, so the call on 4th is justified even though the pot wasn't re-raised on 3rd.

The first hand, I'd consider folding...

Re: Razz Hand- Was I correct to fold third here?

[ QUOTE ]
It's pretty unlikely that everyone has a three-card bike. The other guys could have Sixes, even Sevens. 1/3 equity strikes me as a reasonable estimate.

Mind you his fold isn't as horrible as everyone here is claiming, he at best probably has 1/3 equity unless one of the two opponents is laggy. But at the same time no way am I folding,...

Re: Razz - Anyone find a fold here on 5th?

You can't be sure you have the best hand on 3rd. If villian is paying attention to dead cards, there's a good chance you're behind.
If villian has (A4) in the hole, villian is >51% to win.
(A3):...

Re: Razz - Anyone find a fold here on 5th?

[ QUOTE ]

2) I like raising on 3rd, but re-raising is tossing a coin. The villain is either a LAG or announcing (and overplaying) that he has (A2) in the hole, and you are literally a 50/50 equity...

Re: Razz - 4 & 5 street play/ river bet.

Forgot to say, I like your 4th street bet. People don't check-raise often in razz (in case were afraid of the A3 slow playing), but even if he did, it wouldn't be that bad because you want to thin...

Re: Razz - 4 & 5 street play/ river bet.

just wanted to point out that you _could_ be behind on 5th, and you're probably only a little ahead. For example, if villian has 5 2 in the hole, you're a little behind:

Re: Razz: a T low.

I'm not sure about a value bet on 6th.. if you're ahead, its not by much. I think you won't induce a fold unless villian has two pair (so yeah, if you're pretty sure he paired, then you can...
