Re: NL50: Call raise preflop and flops TPGK. Villain cbets.

Why are you calling preflop? If you think your K or Q will be a good TP hand against this opponent then OK (like he's raised the last 6 hands or something). or he will check every time he misses and...

Playing smaller stack

If you are able to fold top pair/overpair and feel like you are being exploited for it, consider buying in for 60bb. I tried this by moving up a limit and it seemed to work (in the short run). Here's...

Re: Big draw on turn vs tag

I would call. If your read is right, you will get paid off. You are getting great implied odds - so call. You have little fold equity based on your read.

Re: An offer of coaching/mentoring

I play 10NL and have logged probably 200K hands and can't get to 25NL. It’s really quite embarrassing. I started as a limit player and switched to NL last year. I am committed to learning. I own...

Re: The Übernit

I play 10NL and the tables are very loose preflop and aggro post flop. Typically, your bet on flop with TPTK/TPGK or overpair (you were agrgressor preflop) will get raised on flop if villian hits TP...

Re: 50nl: JJ in 3bet pot, I hate this situation

Well villian is saying he has an overpair, and I would believe him that is bigger than yours. I think the flop you should have folded or check-raised.

Re: 50NL - QQ facing heat

Youre only options here are to shove or fold. either are fine. You can't let him catch an A or K on the cheap. If you raise and get an all-in from him, then you might have to call. So put the...

Re: Hows my line with AA

I don't see him checking the river with a K. So I like the bet, but I would bet less because you aint getting called often. But you played it like JJ-QQ (KK?) too by checking the turn. You should...

Re: $50NL TPTK standard?

I think you are beat bad here. His line is very strong. Your actions define your hand as TP or overpair on flop. He isn't scared and has tight stats and knows you like your hand. I think you need to...

Re: AK vs biiig fiiish.cbet?

What is your image? Is he likely to give the 3-bet respect? I think you have to c-bet after showing so much aggression preflop. 3-bet ranges can be pretty scary to villian from reasonable opponent.

Re: set facing overpush on river (150BB stacks)

The problem is part of the value from raising w/ 22 is fold equity postflop. Why would you not try to take it down. It makes the hand easier to play.

Re: Bet sizing ? on turn with a set, but three clubs on board (100NL 6max)

I think he has overpair that is > 8 but < K here a lot. I like a PSB and call a shove.

Re: set facing overpush on river (150BB stacks)

I think you should have c-bet this flop heads-up. This is a very tough river decision. I would fold it. But if you had c-bet, then you could evaluate if he had a FD. If he is rational though, there...

Re: NL200 Call or raise flop?

If you think your opponent has AK, then fold preflop. Well since you called, this is the flop you should be hoping for. I would call and plan to be all-in on the turn. If he has KK-QQ and is...

Re: Get your n00b out, uNL--Volume 2

Moved post so it was *Grunched*

What is your 3-bet range: ep (noon-existent in 6 max), mp, lp, sb, bb.

I usually only 3-bet QQ+, AK. And it doesn't really matter to me what position since these...

Re: 50NL - Flopped flush, paired board. 200BB deep.

You are in a limped pot. He could have and Ah+6, a nut flush, a boat, or trips - or quads. I rule out QQ because he didn't raise pf. You are only beating trips so I think folding is not terrible. If...

Re: River/Line Questions

I would. You will be OOp for the remainder of the hand. Hope to hit the flop and play a small pot.

Re: 25NL Just checking my line out

I would just call here. BB called on flop with you left to act and you were the pf aggressor. I think you are up against 2 pair here a lot. if he makes a substantial bet on river, you will probably...

Re: River/Line Questions

I don't think raising OOP with AT is a long term good strategy. I don't see the 4 really helping villain here. I see no problem with a value bet on the river.

Maybe check the river here to induce a small bet.

Re: NL60 (deepstack) FullTilt: Another tough fold, QQ?

Yeah I don't see what hand he could have here that is worse than yours. Proabbly has a 4 or pocket nines. Now he sees you really like your hand (3 barrels) and might call an all-in.

Re: 30NL: Deep, AA UTG Multiway...

I would fold here. You will be all-in by the end if you don't. You have only invested 21bb pr so with another 175 behind. I don't think you played your hand face-up, but if you move in, he will know...
