Re: any advantage to being the first one to bluff at the pot?

IMO, I prefer to bet out with a hand or without a hand. If betting out is kept mixed up, it is harder for people to put you on hands, and eaiser to get paid off for that hand that is a lock. I live...

Re: River (straight) play question

I think the turn check is ok, If he does have over pair, 2 pair, or a set, Your toast unless you hit your K or 9. With the 2nd nuts on the river is an obvious cap.

Re: Paying yourself out of your bankroll

The way I do it is to keep X amount in the account. I prefer to have 200 times the size of the big bet. Just for a number lets say $12000. When your up a percentance over that, I would take it out. ...

Re: 50nl - JJ rivers set, how much to raise?

10-15. Stack sizes are really important. You need to make the bet small enough that he can follow you in. I think 20 is a bit much.

Re: KQo flop TP, sb comes out firing.

Betting the turn looks good. You have the lead keep it. Calling in the CO with AK or AA isn't typical. K3, K2, or 32 I would consider poor. Can't let him see the river for free, if he is on the club...

Re: 5/10 can i bet here?

I think the check is not a bad choice. You allow him to take a stab at it. If you are ahead let him bet your better hand. Betting the turn, looks like betting a scare card. If you bet the river...
