Local tournament down to 10 players, 8 players get paid. Two tables of 5 left(unusual I know!)

I'm in Ireland so there are loads of PL 1-2 games every where with min buyin being €50, max buyin being €1000 I think.

Yeh after analysing the hand the check on the flop was awful, something i've learned about my game and will improve post flop play, my biggest mistake was not slowing down and...

I think check raising is the better option...a raise of about half the pot might get a call from A8, 109 to 89 type of hands (if the button tends to call with those hands in late position?).

Thanks for the replies! Yeh I thought he played the hand kinda weakly with such small bets on flop and turn, but it worked for him....part of the learning curve I guess!
