Re: What do you think about Eli Elezra?

He's a gambler, kinda in the same mold as Sammy Farha. He's a mixed game specialist and plays in the big game at the Bellagio. I think he owns a bunch of businesses on the strip in Las Vegas.

He...

Re: Brad booth grinding 10/20 right now.......

Well he might've started out playing well earlier in his career...but obviously fame/ego can turn a winning player into an idiot. If he's making plays like shoving his 42 (or whatever it was) into...

Re: playing big pots oop

Is it me or is that a huge raise pre-flop...$55 into a $20 or so pot? That's like 11 big blinds! I'd make it $25-30 if there's a lot of calling stations. Gotta remember aces are just one pair...

Re: \'Going Pro\'- a serious conversation

Sounds like you've almost made up your mind and just looking for some numbers to confirm your decisions. Hate to say it, but the numbers really don't matter. I can say that 5% are highly successful...

Re: \'Going Pro\'- a serious conversation

I think you should stick with your job and playing poker at the same time a little while longer. Playing for only 6 months really isn't very long as you could be on the good side of variance. Right...

Re: Im stuck at my limits and im not really learning anymore?

Generally when you move up the competition should get better so likely that might be part of the problem. What works at a lower level may not work at the next level so you have to learn to adjust. ...

Re: Middle PP, Middle Position

Well I'm assuming they're doing that to keep the pot size manageable(sp?). Obviously they're playing the player not their hand. I've seen instances where they have bet out even with small pocket...
